[Yes] I've gone through 3 other brands of SATA drive docking stations, and with most of them I've had trouble getting drives to mount, where the docking station will give up trying to mount the drive if it can't mount the first time. With the StarTech docking station I am pretty much guaranteed that the drive will mount, as the docking station will keep trying to mount the drive until it succeeds. I also like how the indicator light changes to blue when a drive is mounted, and to pink when the drive is unmounted.

[0.08 lb] We have several monitors that do not have display port capabilities (VGA and DVI-D only) and are currently upgrading laptops/docking stations for our internal staff. The new docks only have two display ports and one VGA port. So to save on both buying new monitors and all the work of running cables, these converters are life savers. Good build and design.

[2.8 lb] I have owned a couple of passive docking stations and always had connection issues. This thing works flawlessly. 15 ports, UHS-ii card reader, thunderbolt. It has it all. Favorite feature is that it powers my Mac and runs everything I need with one thunderbolt cable. I do wish it had a HDMI instead of display port but being an Apple owner I guess we expect to use dongles. Ha!

[1.705 lb] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been on the fence about getting one of these docking stations for awhile. This docking station has all the current connections and configurations necessary for almost all computers...to include Mac. It's a no frills station and it performs as described. I'm not a tech-savvy individual, I just know I wanted to have multiple displays for my at home laptop and this allows me to do so. I am a happy customer. Recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] first off, im 52 so i remember the OLD docking stations that turned your work laptop into a desktop at home or vice versa. this is one of those only much newer tech and super fast connectivity. that is the true spotlight of this docking station its possibilities of the ports it supplies. this product is superior to most others, but why the price? it is possible that you might have some initial issues with this working with your laptop but those were easily solved. highly recommended.
