[Metal] The 512 AUDIO 512-BBA Microphone Boom Arm is a solid Mic boom arm that can handle a pretty heavy Microphone at a good price. It will definitely do the job for me.

[5/8"-27 Male] I needed a boom arm but not the stand to hold it, so this was perfect. It's substantial enough that I can trust it to hold the microphone, and it telescopes smoothly.

[None] I walked into the store to purchase a cheap boom arm for another band mates microphone stand. The store associate steered me away from the cheaper option to this one, which was less than $10 more. Although I'm happy with the boom arm form my mic stand, I was a little jealous of this one once I checked it out. It's great quality for just a little more money. I will by buying K&M again.

[None] I bought the Deluxe Extended Two-Joint Mic Arm for use in my new voiceover booth. Space is tight, so I knew I didn't want to have a typical stand taking up precious real estate. Using this boom-arm and the matching wall mount made short work of getting my booth up and running. With the dual-jointed arm, and extra long segments, the microphone can be positioned from very low to very high, without having to fiddle around with mic-stand clutches or standard boom arm adjustments. All it takes is a simple push or pull and the mic is positioned exactly where it's needed. The springs do make a slight rumbling sound which is picked up by my microphone, even though it's mounted on a shockmount. But, I will add some split vinyl hose pieces over the springs to dampen the vibration. Typically done in radio stations across the nation where this is a problem. High quality, great price, and fast shipping from B.H. PhotoVideo. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, and ordering from B.H. PhotoVideo was a pleasure.

[Chrome ] This is a fantastic telescoping boom arm, suitable for all needs. Made in Germany, built to last. Replaces Onstage arms that just aren't anywhere near as nice. The nickel version of this K&M arm is ridiculously hard to find, though! So props to B&H for carrying this item. I use these short telescoping arms for my Atlas round base stands, and I was afraid that I would have to get black arms for my chrome stand. Atlas chrome and K&M nickel aren't exactly a match, but they match enough. Very happy with this product.

[1/4"-20 Male ] I bought this Atlas boom to replace an Ultimate telescoping boom because the friction clamps that hold the Ultimate boom in place are too hard to get tight enough to stay put. This Atlas boom is easy to position right where I want it (at the side of my keyboard) and doesn't move or droop once it is set. I mounted it on an Ultimate tripod stand because the Ultimate stand is stable; even with the boom fully extended to one side, it doesn't tip over. Too bad the Ultimate boom is junk.

[Black] Prior to getting the Auray Telescoping Boom Arm I was using a little tripod mic stand that I would pull out and put away every time I wanted to use my mic with my computer. It worked, but was clunky and in the way most of the time. This arm gets the stand off my desk and makes it quick and easy to use my mic on calls or for recording sound. I LOVE this. I should have done this setup a long time ago. It feels secure attached to my desk and slides out into place in a matter of seconds. Because it slides out almost 32 inches I can tuck the clamp on the side of my desk and it stays out of the way until use. Overall this is a no brainer and I wish I have would have went with this setup awhile ago. (I received this item in exchange for my honest review)

[Boom Stand] I have bought a lot of boom stands over the years and have had some sorry excuses for boom stands as a result. One of the two I use that have lasted over the years and continue to be my favorites is the On-Stage MS7701TB Tripod Microphone stand with boom. The rings for tightening the mic clip are designed to be easy to turn, the boom itself is easy to tighten and release, and the telescoping boom is easy to adjust to exactly the right tightness. A good value, and not to be confused with stands whose parts break under normal use. Problems Encountered: The only thing that makes this my second-favorite stand is the fact that the boom only telescopes once - my favorite stand has two telescoping adjustments, so one can be used to adjust the length and the closer one can be used to re-align the mic just right.
