[Aluminum] I bought the Kirk L-Bracket just before my last trip. It makes it so much easier going between horizontal and vertical shots with a tripod. If you've leveled the camera horizontally, it will also be level when you swap to vertical - and never any need to adjust the tripod legs. I ended up leaving the bracket on the camera for the whole trip. I recommend it for anyone who regularly uses a tripod. The only downside is that I can't attach my Peak Design camera strap to the bottom of the camera if the bracket is attached, so the camera doesn't sit against my side so easily when I'm walking around with it. Therefore, if I know that I'm not going to be using the tripod for a while, I will take off the bracket so that I can put the strap where I want it.

[Universal] There is no question that the 3 Legged Thing L-Bracket is superior to the no name. It fits perfect, has battery and camera side port access, and the LCD still can move to most positions. But here is a bonus for the No Name...there is a slot for the screw that mounts the bracket to the camera. So when shooting panos in portrait mode, you can loosen the screw, slide the camera away from the end of the bracket, and then tilt the camera up or down, without the need for a ball-head.

[0.455 lb] I am more than pleased with the fit and quality of my ProMediaGear L-Bracket. I was concerned with how it would fit my camera with my battery grip since the Nikon D5600 is such a compact DSLR. It fits like it was crafted just for my camera! I am impressed with the build of this bracket. I can remove the battery tray from the grip while the bracket is attached. I also love that my screen can rotate completely! I am very happy I purchased this bracket!

[Aluminum] Previously, I owned a Canon 5D Mark IV with the Canon battery grip. I used the Really Right Stuff L-Bracket with that setup, which was pricey, but built like a tank and relatively heavy. One of the primary reasons I jumped to the Canon R5 was to save weight on the camera and lenses. Keeping with that philosophy, I've hesitated to go with the battery grip or RRS. I wanted to stick with a lighter and cheaper option. The 3 Legged Thing Roxie-C L-Bracket has filled the bill nicely. It's lightweight and does everything in a more compact package. Not that it's a huge feature, but I really like how the Copper color version I have sets itself off from the camera. This bracket can be mounted in two positions of the R5. I have it configured snug to the camera on both the bottom and side of the camera. You can reposition the bracket so the vertical piece extends out from the camera, allowing you to connect cables should you be tethering, etc, in the studio. I will say the articulating LCD of the R5 cannot be positioned completely vertically when flipped fully out from the camera, but I have not found this to be a limiting factor. All in all, I'm very happy with this bracket.

[Khaki Tan/Beige] I stumbled across this item when I received my RRS L-Bracket. I was wondering what the hole in the bracket was for so I reviewed the specifications for the L-Bracket. I searched for QD on the RRS page and discovered the coolest mounting system I have ever seen. Peak Design comes close, but this QD mounting system doesn't leave unwanted hardware on your camera. The trade-off is you need an RRS bracket or equivalent for it to work where the PD can be secured on the camera strap mounts without additional hardware. I have tremendous trust that this mount will not fail as long as it is properly connected. RRS gear is not cheap and not inexpensive, but the saying buy once, cry once is particularly true with this item. I have no regrets buying this, and I think it is well worth the price.

[Aluminum] I was pleased with using the RRS L-Bracket for the Sony A7RII. It provides protection for the camera, adds an extension to the body and a bit of weight which improves the balance of the camera with longer and heavier lens such as the 2470 GM. I bought the L bracket for the A9 with the same goals in mind. It is even more refined. The vertical portion can be easily adjusted and removed. It retains the idea of moving the battery door to the plate while retaining the weather integrity with a seal. This also facilitates a quick change of the RRS L bracket with the Sony battery grip which also needs to remove the battery door. Given the cost of the camera, this is a relatively small price for the added protection while providing a sturdy tripod mount. Purchasing this from B&H is far easier and less costly in shipping it to Canada.

[0.42 lb] After spending a considerable amount of time contemplating which L-Bracket I should get for my Canon 6D Mark II, I opted for the more affordable Sunwayfoto design (as opposed to Kirk or Really Right Stuff equivalents). I made this decision as I wanted a bracket that did not require tooled-adjustment in certain situations in order to use the vari-angle screen - mission accomplished! Sunwayfoto achieved this by spacing the vertical part of the L-Bracket forward with respect to the camera - I was worried that this offset would look out of place, become cumbersome, or get in the way of ports/buttons etc. but it doesnt - it fits snuggly and actually ends up being convenient in certain situations as it acts as an alternative grab/pick up point for your camera. In conclusion: it fits properly, works brilliantly, and is an affordable L-bracket compared to others on the market - you wont be disappointed.
