[Low Profile] I use this to connect to a HighPoint RocketStor 5322 Dual-Dedicated 6 Gbps eSATA Storage Dock. The purpose I use this setup for is Removable Backup Drives that are stored in the Safe to protect the data from Theft and Fire. I want to make an important note about Windows 8 and the use of this product. - Windows 8 and later shuts your computer down in a Hybrid Hibernation state, so that your computer starts up faster (if your OS is on an SSD it makes no difference in speed). If you leave this option turned on, it will not allow this controller to use the Drives connected to it as hot swappable and you will have many issues. If you turn this option off in Windows 8, everything works perfectly. - To get to this option in Windows 8 to turn it off, go to the Start button then click the magnifying glass for search and type po bu (stands for power button). Under Shutdown settings un-check Turn on fast startup (recommended). Click Save Changes at the bottom and then Re-start your computer. That is it, it will work perfectly now. I did not come up with that fix on my own I contacted HighPoint when I was having the issue and they first saw if they could recreate the issues I was having in their Lab and they were able to and told me they would contact me again when they have the issue resolved. A week later they contacted me and told me this fix for my OS. The issue had nothing to do with their hardware or software but an OS setting and they figured it out for me. I find that a rare thing these days and will Trust this company for future purchases if I need them.

[500 GB] SN750 or SN850 will do you well. I installed this as the primary OS drive on my laptop. I run Windows and Linux on it no problem. It is quick, and doesn't seem to overheat even in the small space. I like that it comes with TLC memory, so it should last. Comes with a good warranty.
