[0.32 lb] Large aperture is the key for astrophotography. This lens is the best for astrophotography so far.

[105 mm (Front)] I just purchased this zoom lens because it had a larger aperture than my current Zoom for the XT 5- What I was surprised at was how amazingly sharp and nimble this zoom link is. My only negative visits, larger size, but that is mitigated by the handy grip that is on the bottom of the lens making it economically a sweet deal with my t

[18.0 to 15.0 mm] I bought the TrailSeeker because it had Dual Fine / Coarse zoom control and a large 100mm aperture lens. I also installed a Baader Mark 4 Zoom eyepiece which takes this scope to the next level. Well worth doing. B&H service was fantastic.

[Full-Frame] Awesome lens! Love the field of view and large aperture possible with this lens and the a7Rii and a6300.

[f/4] Fuji finally delivered the firmware update this lens was supposed to have when it was first launched in 2022 and I can finally recommend this lens to video creators. The aperture doesn’t step anymore during zoom operation and it looks a great. Finally! This lens is a killer if you combine it with any 5th gen (or later?) camera body. I’ve been testing the new firmware on a X-H2 but it should perform just as well on any other 5th gen body. The focal range, constant F4 aperture and general lightness and compactness of this lens makes it a must have. The AF is smooth and fast, the zoom action is smooth and doesn’t behave weirdly anymore. Love it, 5 stars from me.

[Autofocus] This standard fixed zoom lens is very sharp even with full aperture f/1.8. The optical quality is consistently supreme from f/1.8 to f/22, which most of other 50mm lens can not beat. I own a Canon 50mm f/1.2L, but that is not comparable even with aperture goes down to f/1.8. Except the Zeiss Otus 55mm f/1.4, so far this is the second best standard fixed zoom lens I have seen. Given its price and weight, Zeiss has done an amazing job!

[28 to 300mm] I would recommend this lens to any beginner photographer, it comes with a perfect zoom range, true its aperture is variable with the zoom but still a very high quality lens, compared to its price of course, and especially that it comes with a stabilizer

[0.045 lb] Like many here, I found this lens to be one of the two choices: 55-200 f/3.5-4.8 or 50-140 f/2.8. Due to life circumstances and family responsibilities, I opted for the more affordable 55-200. It's a little less than half the price and is a 300mm equivalent: on paper, more lens for less money. So what's the catch? This lens simply doesn't have the fit and finish of 50-140; it doesn't have as fast an aperture; it doesn't have a fixed, maximum aperture. The zoom extends out of barrel and is a fairly ungainly design. It has a metal barrel, but portions of the lens are plastic. On the plus side, which for this lens is considerable, it is very sharptack sharp. It is very small and lightweight. And the lens has an impressive optical image stabilizer. It's a pleasure to shoot with. The AF is not as fast as it on some lenses, but it is fast enough. And although it is not as fast as the 50-140, it is faster than competing lenses of similar range from other manufacturers. Having owned a Canon 75-300, I can say with certainty that this lens is significantly sharper. I planned to return this lens if I didn't like it in favor of its more expensive cousin, but I'm so impressed with its size, weight, and image quality, that I decided to keep it. If you need the convenience of a zoom, if you'd like the reach of a 300mm lens, if most of your shooting is outdoors in the daylight, and if you like scary sharp pictures, then I would recommend this lens without hesitation.
