Leica 8X20 Trinovid Bca

[Center] I compared these to the Trinovid 8x20, and they're very similar both in size and optical performance. The Trinovids had a slightly nicer diopter adjustment, were slightly clearer, and had an easier-to-use focusing knob. The Utravids are also slightly chunkier than the Trinovids, even though the dimensions are about the same. In the end I want for the Ultravids because the eye relief was slightly longer than the Trinovids (15mm vs 14mm) and worked well with my glasses. Overall an excellent little pair of binoculars for daytime use.

[6 x 2.8 x 1.6"] I own three monoculars: a Vertex 10x25, a Leica 8x20, and this Opticron 10x42. The Vertex is the most rugged and good for a rocky hike; the Leica and Opticron are significantly clearer and sharper, though. The Opticron is the easiest to use because of its wider field of view, but is bigger and heavier (though still much more portable than an optically equivalent pair of binoculars--I always prefer monoculars for that reason). The clarity and magnification make it ideal for looking at more distant objects, such as waterfowl far from shore.

[20 mm] The quality of the optics is a given. I have a Nikon HG 8x20 and optically, they are similar but the quality of the build is not. Leica is much superior in this aspect - excellent fit and finish. The Leica binoculars are also much more compact and lighter, and look very elegant - perfect to bring to an opera house or a museum. I would have like it a lot more if it can focus more close so that I can observe small and delicate exhibits in a museum. I will have to get their monocular for this.

[Roof] These binoculars are truly fantastic. I have an old pair of trinovid 8x40 that were completely refurbished by Leica about 2 yrs ago. I thought they were great but these blow them away. What amaze me is these new one are even better in dim light than the old ones. I am used to high end glass, owning several top if the line line Nikon camera lens and spotting scopes. Only draw back is these a a little heavier than expected and the case is completely useless after the strap is installed

[0.235 lb] THIS HEAVY-DUTY STRAP WAS A GREAT UPGRADE FOR MY LEICA 10x50 TRINOVID; THE ORIGINAL STRAP WAS NOT COMFORTABLE AFTER A SHORT USE PERIOD. YOU WILL NOT REGRET PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT IF YOU SHOULD HAVE A HEAVY LEICA BINOCULAR.

[ViennaKey] Amazing binoculars. Gorgeous Leica product quality, accuracy, optical excellence and classic design. Compact enough for traveling, good weight and balance in the arm. Sharp and bright options, natural colors rendering. Smooth, accurate and comfort focusing mechanism. I was looking for top-quality, compact and lightweight binoculars for travels. First, I've got Leica Trinovid 8x32. Great binoculars, but I found them a little too bulky and slightly too heavy for my needs. Ultravid is twice more expensive, but IMO it worth the money. Over Trinovid, Ultravid is noticeable lightweight and smaller in the hand and in the pocket, with more handy construction of focusing and diopter adjustment mechanisms. I am happy with Ultravid 8x32, and ain't looking at any other binoculars no more.

[10x] Leica, Zeiss, and Swarokski are all excellent binos. I owned a Leica 8x32 Trinovid, it was stolen. To replace it, I tried comparable priced binos from all 3 mfgs, and preferred the Leica for crisp color. So I bought another pair of Trinovids.

[1/4"-20 Male] Just got this case for my Leica Trinovid HD 8x42 binoculars . These binoculars fit like glove ! Room for the strap ,and rain guard, case is made well with great protection for binoculars . I recommend this case highly!

[8x] Love my Leica Trinovid Binoculars! Awesome clarity and detail when viewing. Quality construction, well balanced and was worthwhile investment that shall last for generations. Also, Lou at B&H was very informative and patient while helping me with my purchase.

[Roof (BK7)] I use the binoculars for birding. �My previous binoculars have been Leica Trinovid and Ultravid, Swarovrski El, and Vortex. �With premium binoculars, one expects quality build, edge to edge sharpness, minimum chromatic aberration, correct color rendition. �The Noctivids passes those tests in spades. �What separates these binoculars from anything that I have used is that I feel that I am not looking through binoculars but rather that I am looking through an open window. �It is the most natural view I have ever experienced. �Unfortunately, that is the best way I can describe them. �To anyone looking to purchase better binoculars, these deserve a look.
