Leica Light Meter

[Footcandle, Lux] This light meter is a gem. I use it indoors and outdoors with my Hasselblad (503s) and my Leica M-6 cameras. We are are ready for the instant lighting changes that plagues the Midwest. Without this great accuracy and speed I would not be able to enjoy the hand crafted elegance of classical manual photography. I am also able to instruct an assistant an assistant how to take accurate exposure settings in only a few moments. I don't even have to speak German.

[Acetate] I love this film. I shoot it through my Leica m3, without a light meter, and get the most surreal images. I like high contrast , surreal subjects. Dark and moody images. This stuff delivers for me every time. Yes it is slow, and I don’t need a tripod because for what I do, motion is acceptable.

[0.04 lb] It keeps the camera's light meter going. Priced well.

[35mm] Please take into account, if you are using this on a rangefinder camera such as the Leica M, the viewfinder can show focus only up to .7 meter; whilst this lens can focus closer than the rangefinder can show. I didn't know this at first, so I thought I got a bad copy!!! So you just have to be carful when reaching the camera rangefinder minimum focus distance and maybe use live view to focus beyond the rangefinder limit.

[0.8 lb] I use it to hold my Leica M6, meter, film, flash, kindle, phone, wallet, pen, note book, keys and snack. I also use it for my 4x5 tech field camera. It has room for 4x5 film holders, 4x5 Fuji instant back and boxes of film and other bits. Prefer it to a small messenger style bag. I like the firm sides and the bit of protection it provides. Looks sort of industrial but Billingham doesn't make a fanny pack. I'm 5'10 and 160lbs and it isn't too big on me. Little waist pockets are sort of useless for me but could keep a spare bill or two.

[1.3 oz / 37 g] Needed an eyecup to be able to use the viewfinder of a Leica Disto distance meter with glasses. 3D printed an adapter and... voila!
