[4.35 lb] This is the goat when it comes to 35mm film camera. I 'm glad Leica is still making it. Love it!

[Yes] If you are a Leica fan, a 35mm film shooter, and believe in the virtues of the rangefinder system, the MP will satisfy your needs. It is a lot of money, but it is a brilliant piece of gear that will do what you want it to do. I use two other Leica cameras, M6's, so this the perfect addition to my system. You will be glad you made the purchase.

[200] I tried this film, for the first time, by running it through my Leica, using both a 50MM F2 Summicron and a 35MM F2 Summicron, utilising a Leitz 39MM deep red filter. I determined the exposure compensation by holding the filter in front of the meter, taking a reading, and then another reading without the filter and arrived at 3&1/2 stops which equates to a filter factor of 8-10, or so. In any event, the images were spectacular! The sky is rendered almost black and clouds were a brilliant white, with detail (think Zone 2-3) in them. Without a filter, SPX performs closely to a regular B&W film in its rendition. I had a lot of fun using this film, not being sure of the outcome but I was quite pleased with the results and I will not hesitate to use it again. Hope this was useful for you...

[1x] I use this with a Sony camera to scan 35mm film. It's flawless. I combine with the Essential Film Holder and it works very well.

[Black] This pouch fits my Leica M rangefinder with a 35mm lens & hood attached perfectly. I avoid dedicated camera bags, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. With my camera protected with this pouch, I can safely toss it into a knapsack along with other stuff.

[-2 to 20 EV] I purchased the Leica MP with a 35mm F/2 Summicron and use this for general walk-around/travel photography. I don't consider myself a street photographer, but I've been intrigued with rangefinder cameras for quite some time. Build quality is amazing. The camera feels like a solid block of metal. I would have preferred a match needle meter instead of the LED lights, but there's really not much to complain about. I'm a left-eye shooter, so things can get a little uncomfortable with the winder, but I'm used to that from my older cameras. Holding the camera properly takes some getting used to. I found myself covering the rangefinder mirror on the right side by accident on a few occassions. Also, I wish faster shutterspeeds were available, but I understand there are limitations due to the type of shutter used. Overall, the MP is a pleasure to use, and is quickly becoming my favorite camera.

[Leica M] I recently decided to go back to using a digital Leica (M-262) as my primary camera. I was able to afford the purchase by selling my FujiFilm digital kit. To be honest, my cameras were several years old and getting a little long in the tooth. I figured I should sell them before they were worth pennies. I still own a Leica M6 35mm film camera and the most amazing FujiFilm X-100F digital camera. I already own two Leica lenses, a 1970 50mm f2 Summicron and a 90mm 2.4 Summarit. I felt the need for a faster lens. I already owned the Voigtlander 35mm 1.4 Nokton Classic which has great image and build quality so I eagerly awaited the release of the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm 1.2. This lens was anticipated to be an amazing alternative to the very expensive Leica 50mm lenses. I purchased my lens from B&H Photo in New York. I have always had good luck purchasing from them as they are very trustworthy and reputable. My Lens arrived new and amazingly well constructed as I expected. I do wish the lens came with the matching hood and maybe a dust pouch or bag. It just came in standard protective box and packaging (yawn). I think they are missing the mark by not adding some updated presentation packaging. I have found the lens to be very sharp and has a very nice Bokeh. Any lack of sharpness has been caused by being out of practice with the manual focus rangefinder, my eyes starting to age, astigmatism in my dominant eye and my now use of the dreaded spectacles. I am amazed at the image quality and construction of the Voigtlander. I have owned many 50mm lenses from different manufacturers to include the Canon 50mm L 1.2 and I have to say that this little guy (Voigtlander) takes the cake. It has amazing character to it. [3.1 x 3 x 0.7"] I have an old 35mm L39-mount lens I wanted to use on a Leica M-4 camera (in addition to the M-mount lens I normally use on that camera). It works very well, and for about fifteen bucks it is far cheaper than buying a 35 mm M-mount lens.
