[Yes] Truth be told I purchased this lens because it was the only Sony A mount lens available. However, so far I am very satisfied with it.

[0.625 lb] Very nice design and worth every penny: don't bend the lens mount on your Sony NEX by leveraging a too-heavy lens off its lens mount on a tripod.

[Aluminum] The Pro Lens Mount Adapter for M42-Mount Lens to Sony E-Mount is a very good adapter and performs as it should. I am very happy to have this adapter for a Mamiya lens that is from 1966 but wish I had the FotodioX Adapter for Mamiya ZE Lens to Sony NEX Mount Camera B&H # FOPNEXAMZ MFR # M(ZE)-NEX-P because it has a built in variable ND filter.

[0.185 lb] Excellent quality by Sigma. It fits into the new Sigma 100-400mm Contemporary Sony E-Mount lens. Highly recommended when using it on a tripod to reduce the weight of the camera mount.
