[2x Each Side] I've played my Les Paul thru it, my classical/electric thru it, sang thru it & listened to YouTube thru it. This EON is incredible. The 8" woofers put out ear-piercing 300 watts of sound. Plenty for any backyard party or indoor party. The settings include reverb for balancing any tone needed. Even though you can play your electric axe thru it, the EON is not designed for this. My Les Paul sounded too bright, even after adjusting the EQ settings. You can get by if you need a quick plug-in to work on a song without plugging into another amp. Each channel has its own settings. The EON is very portable & snaps together nicely in a suitcase-style fashion, making it easy to carry, set up & take down. The headphone input is nice & puts out great sound, just like the speakers. I keep the mixer & speakers apart in the bedroom for solitude practicing & listening to YouTube. Then, I just snap it all together & go. When I discovered this had Bluetooth, I was sold right there! You can play along with any song thru your mobile device. The Bluetooth does not interfere with my XViVe U2 wireless transmitter & receiver. Vocally, the sounds are awsum, too. The accompanying AKG vocal mic works brilliantly! The speakers have a 38mm pole socket for mounting onto speaker poles for maximum outreach. They're also light enough to sit on any cabinet or table. The 2 speaker cables, wall cable, AKG mic & mic cord all fit in a nice, stow-away compartment behind the mixer. Bottom line: I recommend this for any singer-songwriter, DJ, or party host. The price is worth it with the Bluetooth capability.

[ARC, CEC, eARC] I purchased the Sonos Beam for the play room at our lake house. The room had been pre wired for front and rear speakers but decided to go this route which was obviously significantly cheaper with NO labor costs. Did not disappoint at all- accomplishes the sound we were looking for at all points in the room!

[Blue] All of the equipment and software I have purchased I never woke up to learning how much difference a pre-amp at this level makes. Instruments: Bass guitar, lead guitar, acoustic guitar - it is amazing the fullness it pulls out of these instruments, and that is fullness with headroom. A great addition for voiceovers. Now on the microphones: tested on our condenser mics (Schoeps and AT 4053b) and our Dynamic (Beyerdynamic, Shure) mics. It is hard to put into words the differences. Present system: ProTools, Focusrite Saffire 56, ArtPro Channel pre's, Presonus pre's. This is a game changer investment. Spend it here before you drop the extra $ on the mic.

[Cardioid] I bought this mic to record electric guitar and it works exceedingly well for that purpose in both clean channel and overdrive. The mic is a dynamic that works best with pre-amps that have a normal 1.5K to 2K input impedance which makes it useful with a wide array of modern audio equipment. (I also use a Shure SM57 and a Shure SM7B for electric guitar and they work best with pre-amps that offer a lower input impedance such as 500 ohms.) The sonic characteristic of the Heil PR20 sits between the SM57 and the SM7B. The Heil has a rich low end, a slightly forward mid range and a very smooth top end.

[0.5 lb] I placed it carefully inside my classical guitar where it connects to the pre-amp in addition to the pick-up that it comes with. It works very nicely as it grabs the sound echoed by the guitar itself to complement the sound from the strings on the saddle.

[Download] I've been using it to record vocals and direct keyboards and guitar. The Unison pre-amp that comes along with the Apollo sounds great and allows me to get professional sounding vocals without all the expensive studio gear. Also great for recording stereo keyboards with a bit of analog crunch or completely clean pre-amps.

[Up to +26 dB] I used an earlier version of this device extensively in the past (ART MPA Gold), and was always impressed by it. When it came time to add external pre's to my console, I purchased this unit without second thought, and man it was worth it. I've used it on bass guitar, electric guitar, vocals, and horns, and never been disappointed. The unit itself looks, feels, and sounds like a professional piece of gear, and you can replace the tubes later down the road if you want to further improve the sound. In short, if you looking in this price range for a good, solid pre-amp, this unit is definitely worth a look.
