[0.02 lb] We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly.

[12 to 24 TB] needed a small low profile flash drive preferably without an indicator light. this works perfectly.

[ 3.5" HDD ] Up front, I've only been using this a few weeks. I cannot speak to longevity - and by the time I could, something new would be out. Storing TB's of photos, I've used several different drives. The Oyden is by far the fastest at transfer I've used. It's also exceptionally quite. It does get a bit warm, but nothing near hot. Again, much cooler than any past drive. I use it on-desk and don't carry it around, and backup by doing a full file-copy. (I want better access and portability than a true backup will give me.) The rubber frame around the drive will handle any minor vibration I have, as well as moving it from desk to storage. Overall, a really nice unit.

[Dual Channel] Update can be done without old CPU with USB flash drive only.
