Line Level Mixer

[4 lb] If you have the luxury of separate crew positions for boom operator(s) and sound mixer, get this! The boom op just clips this to his or her belt, plugs in their headphones and the microphone, and then it's mostly just set and forget. The signal quality is so quiet and perfect! (I already have a Sound Devices MixPre-D, which evidently has the same signal chain, so I wasn't surprised.) A word of warning: if the mixer or recorder you plug this into doesn't have line-level inputs, then you won't get much out of this device. The Zoom F4 specifically only has line level if you plug into it with a 1/4 TRS. If you connect this to a mic-level input, you'll have to turn the gain down on one or both device so low as to be difficult to use. If the gain is low on the MM-1, then the headphone output will also be relatively low. So if your recorder doesn't take line-level for input, then don't bother.

[0.25 lb] I use this to connect the line level output of a Sound Devices SD302 field mixer to the input of a Sony M10 digital recorder. Previously I'd used the mixer's tape out, which has a fixed output level. Using this connector, with the mixer's master outputs, gives me more flexibility. There might be cheaper options, but I've liked the quality of Remote Audio products I've used in the past.

[Hardware] Nice attenuator, works as expected, well-constructed. I needed it to drop a mixer's line level output for use feeding an Acoustic Image amplifier, which has no internal pad. The 800W AI is basically a high-quality guitar/bass amp, and would not normally be chosen for such applications, but in this case it happened to be my best PA choice, once I had an appropriate attenuator.

[Plug-In Power] I needed to step line level out of a mixer into a mic input because of consumer gear in the setup. After researching db difference between line and mic standards and looking at switchable and static attenuators I ended up picking this one for the name brand and 50db. The step down was spot on, I had all my levels at unity and appropriate gain.

[Download] I am using this box between a mixer's tape out and a laptop's line in. Previously, the noise level was out of hand, and now it is tamed. We're still getting some noise, but I'm fairly sure it's from other components.

[Black] Help me out with this. You do event work where you occasionally have to take a feed from a mixer with line level outs. Do you spend at least $400 for your own mixer to knock the feed down to mic level? Or do you buy this great little behind-saver? That's what I thought. Case closed.

[3x Pad Switch] I got this attenuator because the output of our church's mixer is line level and we feed it into several units which are expecting mic level. This attenuator works great. I love the switchable db values and the switch is smooth and easy to use.

[3.7 oz / 106 g] We use this for our line mixer on our editing machine and haven't had a problem yet.

[Black] If you need a volume control for your unbalanced line level signal this is the way to go.

[Download] MIxer performed as well as described. Great mixer for the price. Priority ducking is a huge feature to have at this price level. Highly Recommend it. Installed at a Swim Club and client is very happy.
