I plugged in the HDMI cable to my monitor and it worked immediately after adjusting a few settings on the mac. I love that I can plug theUSB-C power cord right into the port on the hub and still have available an additional thunderbolt port on the mac. The quality of the hub being stainless steel and heavy duty power cord makes this hub feel like it will last a long time. If you have the new M-1 Macbook Air, this is the hub for you.

[120 Hz] I used to be a PC fanatic, but my first 21st century Mac, a MacBook Air, drove my conversion to Mac fanatic (2010), followed by a Pro in 2012, and other Macs thereafter. My new MacBook Pro (16) is the best ever, even topping my loaded MacMini (M2 chip) in my office. (This MBP-24 is my third Mac with Apple silicon in it.) This is the greatest Lightroom/Photoshop platform around! And B&H turned my order around promptly and perfectly. Bravo, gang!

[0.9 lb] I have an older 2014 MacBook Air & updated it earlier this year which resulted in my mac running slower than before the update. I decided to purchase a new battery to fix this problem. Shipping was fast & it's been a week with the new battery and have noticed a big difference in my battery life. The install process was simple, took less than 30 minutes. So far so good!

Great co., great support excellent build quality always. Mac users note that you can arrange screens horizontally . my setup was vertical stack so moving from bottom to top you just go off the right side of lower to get to top screen rather than straight up and down with trackpad.

[USB Bus Power] For any M1 Mac with a USB-C port (MacBook Air, Mac mini, MacBook Pro, Mac Studio) the Transcend will transfer at 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 speed and NOT 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 speeds. Interestingly enough, the additional provided USB-C to USB-A cable allows 10 Gb/s to the rear USB-A port of the Mac Studio even though Apple advertises the port to go up to only 5 Gb/s. The unit has a pleasant rubberized optional cover that feels good in hand and doesn't scratch other devices in your bag.

[0.345 lb] I am pleased to have the opportunity to review this marvelous external SSD drive. It's not much larger than a credit card in height and width. I'd estimate its about 1/8 thick. And the price--$330--also remarkable. I returned the first one I received because it didn't work. My Mac Pro didn't recognize it and after initially recognizing it, my MacBook Air also wouldn't recognize it. Same thing happened this (the second) time. As there really isn't a comparable device, especially at the generous B&H price, I called SanDisk and got to speak to a technical support person right away. Imagine that. The tech advised me to format the disk. I did, wiping out the entirely unnecessary encryption software the device ships with and changing the existing formatting for both Windows and Mac to Mac only. Now the device works great on both my MacPro and my MacBook Air.

[SO-DIMM] Gave this as a gift to replace a 2014 MacBook Air. This Mac Mini was still new in the box. Not refurbished or used, so the price was incredible for a new in the box item. Much faster than the old MBA and able to update to Monterey. So far very impressed with this little unit.
