[2XL] I got this monitor to go with my 2018 Mac Mini. Connecting via HDMI has been flawless.

[0.13 lb] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Use this in the dock for my M2 Mac Mini, Works great and is super speedy and reliable. Fast enough to run programs off of just as fast and smoothly as when they are installed on the internal ssd. I totally recommend this product!

[8x 2.5"/3.5" ] Was a bit skeptical w/ HP brand when I bought it. But surprisingly, the HP TB dock has been working for over 15 months in a customized travel case that I can take anywhere (hotel, coffee shops, production van, etc). So far it can handle the rough abuse on the road and air travel, extreme operating temperatures from 20 deg  to 95 deg F. Thats the way its on location.  I can use any 3.5 SATA hdds (3-14 Tb). Performance is about 10 Gb/s (1,250 MB/s. Plenty of bandwidth for a typical Seagate Barracuda Pro single SATA drive that caps off at around 250 MB/s with no RAID.  Fairly decent read and write speed. I do not like to buy expensive G-Raid hdds. Theyre nice but just cost too much when youre shooting massive amount of data. And last time I checked in the airport, had to pay for overweight fees because G-Raid drives were so heavy. I average about 8-12 Tb per day of raw footage data. If data i/o is beyond 20 Tb per day, this may be a big bottle neck unless you RAID the 2 drives via software. Bare Seagate Barracuda Pro 14 Tb hdds make more economical sense for massive data in the long run. Plus if you have lots of older 3-6 Tb bare hdds, they can be put to good use w/ this dock.  Dont mind about no power on switch or inability to daily chain to another TB2 port. Mac Mini 2018 has 4 USB-C ports. So not a big concern.  Thunderbolt seems to be much faster than USB3 when high amount of data is transferred at a time. Once the Mac Mini or MBPro is on, I know working because of the bright blue LEDs. Fits nicely in a Pelican case for easy transport. Can be hard configured for Mac Mini 2014, 2018 or any Mac Book Pro 2014 or later models. Havent have any drive disconnection issues since day 1 of using this. Very stable and reliable. Good price, performance and usefulness. Dont see why it will not be useful in any high data raw camera workflow. Will get 1-2 more of these later on for disk replication and data migration.

[4 lb] I use this converter for live events all the time. I now own 4 of them and they have never failed me. I use them mostly to convert HDMI out from a Mac Mini, converting the signal to HD-SDI for use in my Blackmagic Switcher. Using the Mac Mini I can get the presenter view and the main view of a PowerPoint and route that to the main screen and show presenter view on a confidence monitor. I also use one at the podium in case a presenter wants to present from there. It has HDMI and VGA inputs, so I'm covered either way. Although I do wish switching modes was easier, switching the little toggle switches is a little tedious during a live event, but it's easy enough and there is a diagram on the unit. The locking power supply is really nice, to avoid it being unplugged accidentally. It is a bit pricey though.

[HDMI/SDI] I'm using this to convert HDMI output from a Mac Mini to SDI in order to feed a building cable system. Box is metal -- well built and durable (reminds me of older Netgear equipment). And it has DIP switches -- who does't like DIP switches? The management software is a bit wonky and not terribly useful with our setup (I suppose it's more applicable if you're not using HDMI for the audio). But, otherwise, it just worked out-of-the-box. Gets a little warm to the touch, but nothing alarming.

[0.185 lb] Using on a M1 Mac Mini for last 9 months. Works well for HDMI on a second monitor and reading SD cards from my Canon. Also use the A ports for thumb drives and sometimes mouse. Only concern i have is the heat. It does seem to get fairly warm.

[1.6 lb] We could never get a 1080p HDMI signal from a Mac into our 1080i/59.94 video switcher via an HD-SDI connection. None of the usual HDMI-to-HDSDI mini-converters would provide a 1080p to 1080i or frame rate conversion. The Decimator solved the problem by providing the HDMI-to-HDSDI conversion plus the 1080p-to-1080i conversion. It has many more capabilites that will come in handy to connect more devices to our video networks, so I am henceforth standardizing all of our mini-converter purchases on the Decimator products. Impressive gizmos!
