[Glass] took the glass out to use it purely to turn the variable ND filter and adjust the haze that comes with it... so not really using it as intended but if you are using variable ND you should get this to help you clean up the image from the brown haze, not a huge issue if shooting RAW or ProRes but for compressed recording it is a must 5 |

[3.1 x 3 x 0.9"] Since this is a variable Polarizer, I also use it like a ND filter to cut down the light. Most of the time I keep it at the maximum 5 setting. But if it is cloudy I can reduce the polarizer effect and let in more light. For me, it is like have several ND filters with the advantage of great color in sunlight. 5 |

[Multi Coated] As I already had the 58mm size prior to this one, it is, for the price, a very good ND variable filter. I don't know what those others have that are sold for more than $100, but, this serves me fine. Very Good filter. 5 |

[Glass] This variable ND filter does exactly what I need it to. It does have a wider rim making it so that the lens hood will not fit over it but this doesn't affect my use. Also the filter does not stop at MIN or MAX but as long as you are aware of the setting it's not a problem. Overall I am very happy with the quality of this Tiffen filter. 5 |
