Mamiya Medium Format Film Camera

[Yes] I have several medium format film cameras that I've wanted to store in a hard case with the ability to customize the layout per camera. I purchased the Nanuk 918 in Olive on a daily deal and it was absolutely worth the cost. Inside the case are 3 separate levels of pluckable foam easily cut with a simple kitchen knife. I placed the camera on top and used several long skewers to define the corner lines for how to cut out my shapes. I only went through the first two layers leaving the third on the bottom for support. I now have my Fujica GSW690II (Texas Leica) next to my Mamiya C220 TLR camera with a strap well supported and protected in the Nanuk 918 hard case.

[FUJIFILM G] So you know where I'm coming from: Shot medium format film in the 80's and 90's. Loved the image quality. And because of that experience, I couldn't bring myself to buy a digital camera that was only full frame that cost more than my Mamiya 645! Not trying to start any arguments here, I think digital full frame image quality is generally better than 35mm film, but I still couldn't buy it. Finally, with the Fuji 50R, I found a price point and a cropped medium format compromise I could live with. The Fuji 32-64 and this 250 are the 2 sharpest lenses I've ever owned. The image stabilization on the 250 is fabulous. Even with the 1.4 teleconverter(sorry it's not 1.9 or 2), I have taken seemingly impossible hand held shots at 1/30th of a second. To an old film guy, that's impressive. The engine image is a straight-out-of-the-camera jpg that has been resized for upload, but look at the severe crop of the front where one can easily read where the toolbox is. This is a handheld shot with the 1.4 teleconverter on a moving train. Auto focus and OIS on, F9, 1/180, ISO 400. I can live that.

[Single Coated] Works great...use it on my medium format lenses...nice affect with B&W film...

[125] have been using medium format but just love the results in my new 4 x 5

[25 Sheets] This my go to medium speed black and white film for large format. Great look and a flexible film as far as exposure. Only downside is reciprocity and it doesn't respond as strongly to orange and red contrast filters as other films like HP5+. May or not be a downside for some people.

[120] This film is great for learning the ropes of medium format film photography and won't break the bank. You can develop it in almost any developer including caffenol and get good results. The film does not curl and is durable. Grab some and get out there!

[100 Minutes] I use these for with ClearFile sleeves for contact sheet, instant film prints and medium format film. They couldn't be better - simple and inexpensive.

[Daylight] This is the best deal in medium format film in 2024. Good exposure latitude and reasonable amount of grain for the low price point.
