[Manual Focus] One the best manual 35mm lens

[62 mm (Front)] I have both the Rokinon 35mm f/1.2 and the 50mm f/1.2 for my Canon M5. Both lenses are rockstars. While they require manual adjustment of the aperture and focus, I actually appreciate that level of engagement when shooting with prime lenses. This lens is usably sharp at f/1.2, much more so than the Canon 50mm f/1.2 (roughly the same focal length when mounted on their respective native cameras). The richness of the colors and contrast is on par with the EF-M 22mm, which is good. This lens also gets top marks for bokeh and build quality. If you're looking to add fast primes to your M kit and know how to shoot on manual with manual focus, this lens will deliver.

[Aluminum alloy] I just got it and attached it to my NEX-5 with my Nikon 50mm f1.4 lens and I love it! Lens is oriented normally, I am using the camera in manual mode. I had to go to Set-up/Release w/o Lens - Enable to make it work. As a bit older photog I found using a pair of reading glasses (from the Dollar store) helps me see to manually focus better. It allows me to use my entire selection of Nikon lenses with this small, light weight, incredibly powerful body! If manual doesn't bother you (I grew up in a manual world) this is a fantatstic accessory that allows you to take advantage of your existing lenses (or buy used lenses at a fraction of the cost of new) to greatly expand this wonderful camera system with a $ investment!!!!!!! B&H service was great as always!

[77 mm] I bought the 35mm,50mm and 85mm lens from the Meike Full Frame Line and I have to say I am very impressed. The body has a good build quality, and the image has what I I feel is an appropriate amount sharpness and contrast. I used these lenses on a feature film in September, and the lenses did everything I needed them too. I frequently use these lenses on a Red Komodo and a Black Magic Pocket 4k, and occasionally on other camera systems and I have been happy with the image they produce on every camera sensor I have put them on.

[Leica M] I recently decided to go back to using a digital Leica (M-262) as my primary camera. I was able to afford the purchase by selling my FujiFilm digital kit. To be honest, my cameras were several years old and getting a little long in the tooth. I figured I should sell them before they were worth pennies. I still own a Leica M6 35mm film camera and the most amazing FujiFilm X-100F digital camera. I already own two Leica lenses, a 1970 50mm f2 Summicron and a 90mm 2.4 Summarit. I felt the need for a faster lens. I already owned the Voigtlander 35mm 1.4 Nokton Classic which has great image and build quality so I eagerly awaited the release of the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm 1.2. This lens was anticipated to be an amazing alternative to the very expensive Leica 50mm lenses. I purchased my lens from B&H Photo in New York. I have always had good luck purchasing from them as they are very trustworthy and reputable. My Lens arrived new and amazingly well constructed as I expected. I do wish the lens came with the matching hood and maybe a dust pouch or bag. It just came in standard protective box and packaging (yawn). I think they are missing the mark by not adding some updated presentation packaging. I have found the lens to be very sharp and has a very nice Bokeh. Any lack of sharpness has been caused by being out of practice with the manual focus rangefinder, my eyes starting to age, astigmatism in my dominant eye and my now use of the dreaded spectacles. I am amazed at the image quality and construction of the Voigtlander. I have owned many 50mm lenses from different manufacturers to include the Canon 50mm L 1.2 and I have to say that this little guy (Voigtlander) takes the cake. It has amazing character to it. [10] As its label (50mm f/0.95) would suggest, this lens is an extraordinary photographic tool, either on an M-mount (Leica) camera or, with various adapters, on mirrorless cameras (albeit with manual aperture & manual focus). There's no issue with focusing accuracy with a mirrorless camera, of course, but with an M-mount camera the maximum aperture (f/0.95) accurate focusing may require an adjustment to the lens to work precisely with the camera's rangefinder, and TTArtisan kindly provides the tools and instructions for doing that. My copy of this lens, however, was perfectly adjusted right out of the box (whether that's the exception or the rule, I cannot say). This lens used good materials (metal) and is well put together---a quality product. Is this lens a paragon of optical perfection? No, far from it, but you don't buy an f/0.95 lens for that; you buy it for the unique effects you can obtain at maximum aperture. Is it a world-beating built-like-a-tank masterpiece of optical and mechanical construction like the Leica 50mm Noctilux? No, of course not, but it also costs only about 6% of the price of a Noctilux ($755 vs. $12,795), which makes it an extraordinary value for the money.

[200] I tried this film, for the first time, by running it through my Leica, using both a 50MM F2 Summicron and a 35MM F2 Summicron, utilising a Leitz 39MM deep red filter. I determined the exposure compensation by holding the filter in front of the meter, taking a reading, and then another reading without the filter and arrived at 3&1/2 stops which equates to a filter factor of 8-10, or so. In any event, the images were spectacular! The sky is rendered almost black and clouds were a brilliant white, with detail (think Zone 2-3) in them. Without a filter, SPX performs closely to a regular B&W film in its rendition. I had a lot of fun using this film, not being sure of the outcome but I was quite pleased with the results and I will not hesitate to use it again. Hope this was useful for you...

[Empty] I use this to hold my SLR film camera with a 50mm lens on it, inside my Domke F-802 messenger bag. Works perfectly to keep the other junk I throw in the bag off the camera. Makes it easy to grab the camera and go too.

[96 kHz / 24-Bit] Negative Supply makes a very comprehensive system for scanning film in all formats by using a digital camera and a macro lens. I needed to scan 35mm, so I bought the 35mm LED light source, the 35mm Pro Film Carrier, and the Basic Riser (to which I mounted my digital camera). Everything worked perfectly! By using this system, negatives can be scanned quite quickly, doing an entire roll in a few minutes. Mounting the camera on the riser makes the camera perfectly parallel to the film. The film carrier keeps the film flat and, combined for a good macro lens, my scans were very sharp. Negative Supply's website (www.negative.supply) has a complete explanation of the entire system, including videos on how the various components work.
