Marshall Code 100 Combo

[USB-C] I like my Marshall.

[1 Stop] I used this in Scotland with my 100-400mm + X-Pro 2 and got fantastic compression results like the attached photo. I should be clear - I'm not a birder in any way shape or form. I just like judicious use of hyper compressed flattening-the-background perspective. I used the combo maybe 10% of my shots...but the ones I did definitely show it in a good way. I originally started with the 2x, but I wasn't happy not having the phase detection - B&H cheerfully exchanged for the 1.4x and this Teleconverter maintains all communication with the camera.... I can say that other than the slight softening on the 400mm end (which is a function of the lens and not the tele) and the 1 stop drop, the 1.4x might as well be built into the lens - it's awesome. Wish I had this combo when I was on Safari in 2015, but them's the breaks. The other minus - dang, that's an expensive teleconverter, Fuji. But I guess that's true of all their superior optics :) No regrets. Go forth and shoot.

[1.4x] I use this with the GF 100-200mm f/5.6 and am quite pleased with the combo. The degradation of the image quality is very minor and in most cases not noticeable. If I have any complaints it would be that adding this length to the already long 100-200mm lens makes for a really long piece of glass in front of the camera. While I can hand-hold it by taking advantage of the image stabilization in the lens, it is still awkward. On a tripod this is great combination. it allows me to be selective in composing my landscapes in a way that the lens alone does not.

60$ for 2 years. I could extend my subscription which is what I needed. Took a few minutes for B&H to email me the code.
