[, 3x Flat] I love it! Locking cabinet and drawer keeps my tools safe!

[Tan/Beige] Rather than a need to replace foam in a Pelican case, I've changed one of the file drawers in my desk for storing lenses, flashes and camera body. Once I found the closest match between Pelican case and drawer it was simple to cut each layer to size and place in the drawer. Once this was done the Pick 'N' Pluck system was customized for my gear in about 10 minutes. Way easier than years ago when I would hack out space in a large block of foam!

[Steel] Made of stamped steel (not flimsy plastic) fits nicely into cabinet and onto speaker stand. The top is rounded so it will not jam into speaker top hat.

[Aluminum] It is a little difficult to get one door open for connecting the camera to my laptop, but I was able to use a women's fingernail file to open the door.

[0.45 lb] I recently purchased this unit from B&H after having some older 35 mm equipment damaged by mold / fungus on the glass lens elements. The Sirui unit is pretty well-made. Caveat: I did have the first unit arrive with serious damage as a result of poor manufacturer packaging, but B&H handled the replacement within 24 hours. Several people have asked about how the water drains from the unit. Well, it is not like an air conditioner or de-humidifier; the unit is only removing a fraction of an ounce of water from the air volume inside the humidity control cabinet to control the RH. It only has to perform this action once after you open and close the door, and then periodically if any moist air should enter the case. Also, it is not a traditional de-humidifier, but rather some sort of light activated catalytic moisture absorbing reaction (see Sirui website for details). So far the unit works as intended. The settings are holding the RH within the stated range of +/- 5%, and once you determine the offset, it holds very steady at the set point. The cabinet has a nice handle and sturdy lock, which is not bugler proof, but is a nice security feature to at least keep the door closed and family out. The energy consumption should be about $0.25 a month based upon the specs I read. I keep (2) large format lenses, (2) medium format bodies, (2) rangefinder bodies, about (12) various lenses, plus meters and speed lights in the HC-110. A smaller collection could easily fit into one of the smaller Sirui cabinets, IMHO, B&H should be selling a lot more of these units. It is a small percentage of the cost of all of my gear, and I feel better about knowing it is stored properly when not in use.

[9.5 x 5 x 2"] My Hegel H590 was getting a bit hot inside a BDI cabinet with door in front and open in back. Putting this on top of the amplifier keeps it cool. Fans only come on when temperature calls for it. Fairly quiet--not perfect-- but behind a closed door with sound playing you do not hear it.

[Yes] I have to admit I was at least a little skeptical about this until it arrived at my door. It has dense foam on both sides of these thick plastic panels and is held together with these beefy steel pins. The steel pins lock into holes in the thick plastic panels, and the cutting tool uses the holes in the plastic panels to make precise and neat cuts. This way you aren't punching new holes every time you reconfigure it. The holes are already there. Basically, as long as you're smart about it and have panels in all the lengths you need, you can have set this up so that you can design several different layouts you can switch between depending on what you are doing that day.

[Plywood] I like that each cell is padded and separated by a firm metal divider. I keep Shure SLX2 wireless mics in the larger cells and a SM58 and various clips in the smaller one. There is a slight gap at the top of the drawer in the rear, maybe the thickness of a few sheets of paper, so if you were using this in a mobile rig and keep very small items like washers in the drawer they could fall out. Otherwise this is perfect for transporting microphones. The drawer I received came with a lock and key which weren't shown on the picture or listed in the description. The lock is very secure and can't be picked easily like some other drawers.
