Mic Foam Drawer Organizer

[Latch] I didn't use the divider kit in a Pelican case, but rather as an organizer for my camera gear in an existing drawer. The flexibility of the kit really allowed me to get everything exactly as I wanted.

[Black] I bought this drawer to put in a 4U portable Gator Case. The intent was to put microphones and a headphone preamp in the foam insert so that when I was carrying the case or setting it on edge that they would be protected and not shift around. The drawer is really solidly built and that is great. But that also means it's HEAVY. I've now practically doubled the weight of the case and 2U of gear, cables and such that I have to lug around. But I guess it's worth it. The foam comes in two pieces, each half the height of the drawer and snugly filling the width and depth. The foam is scored or diced so that you can remove cube sized sections to make room for whatever you want to put into the drawer. It's not difficult at all to pull out the sections to make any reasonably rectangular shape that you want. However, don't try to put two openings too close together! One row of these cubes isn't strong enough to hold a shape. Leave at least 2 or 3 consecutive rows/columns of this foam together, especially if you will be putting this in a portable case.

[Tan/Beige] Rather than a need to replace foam in a Pelican case, I've changed one of the file drawers in my desk for storing lenses, flashes and camera body. Once I found the closest match between Pelican case and drawer it was simple to cut each layer to size and place in the drawer. Once this was done the Pick 'N' Pluck system was customized for my gear in about 10 minutes. Way easier than years ago when I would hack out space in a large block of foam!

[Black / Silver] This half rack case is perfect for my wireless mic and IEM set up. Everything is safe and ready to go. I added the Odyssey 3U rack drawer to the bottom of the unit for all of my accessories. I still had plenty of room to velcro a power strip on top of the drawer, and store the cables to hook into our system. The pouch storage on each door is open for extra stuff.....I could easily fit my iPad and / or my page turn pedal....just haven’t decided. I am looking forward to the easy set up and tear down at the next gig! I should have done this long ago!!

[4.355 lb] I bought this drawer for a wireless mic rack, and couldn't be happier. The drawer seems of sturdy design, and the price couldn't be beat -- especially considering it comes standard with a latch and lock. My only complaint is that it is slightly longer than I had anticipated -- my fault for guessing at measurements, but luckily the back facing of the rack still latches on with the drawer installed. Would highly recommend.

[3] I use two single space rack mount Shure wireless receivers in a 4 space rack case - this just holds our wireless receivers, a power filter with pull out lights, and a 2 space pull out drawer for mic storage. Along the back of the case I use a Shure aerial extension. And to connect the mic's to our sound system I have a four line snake. My problem was that the XLR connects to the Shure receivers are half way into the case, difficult to see, and no room for a 90 degree fitting. So these 15 XLR extensions are the perfect length and the high quality shielding provides for no line noise. I wrapped the cable with one twist and attached it to a stick on fastener with small tie to the drawer lid. Now connecting the snake ends is much easier and gentle on the XLR cable ends.
