Mic Isolation Shield

[5.8 lb] For the price, the product is very strong and sturdy. I threw on a heavy isolation shield and mic and note stand on it and held all of them like a champ, would definitely recommend this product.

[Foam] The Auray VOCDOC-ISOMD Microphone Isolation Chamber is a beast. It takes your mic and puts it in its own little sound-enhanced house. When I got this my first thought was how would this compare to the non-enclosed version I have? So I compared them in a room that had an air purifier going full blast nearby. The full isolation makes a huge difference. I had to do far less post on the clips I captured with this unit. It really is like a little home for your mic that does an awesome job of reducing outside noises. So A+ for performance. As far as design goes, I think the chamber is set up logically and gives you many options for mic and xlr placement. There is a mount on the bottom where you can put this on a stand, but note that you will need a more heavy-duty stand to hold this with your mic of choice. I love that there is a dual-layer pop filter built into the front of it. All-in-all this is a great isolation system. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[Aluminum] Provides a major mic isolation improvement over the stock mount for the (a bit old) Panasonic MIC-150. Also works well for the newer A-T BP4029 shotgun mic.

[Black] I got this because I needed a sturdier mic stand to support the mic shield I got, which made my older stand tip over. This one does the trick.

[None] Non-professional here with limited exposure to studio gear. That said, the arm is working very well for me. Stable and quiet with an EV RE320 mic and 309A shock mount. I really like the dual base options supplied standard with the arm. I'm using the arm on a custom 3D printed base. The base supplied for installation through a desk top helped keep my base installation easy to design and reasonably compact. The screw-on C-clamp mount I had been using and typical with most low cost arms resulted in a bulkier and less stable installation. While the arm provides significantly increased vibration isolation when compared to the cheap spring tensioned arm I'd been using, I still find the 309A shock mount adds helpful additional isolation. With the PSA1+, some arm movement vibrations (rotation in particular) make it to the mic when used without the 309A... far less than with the previous spring tensioned arm, but still there. With the 309A, arm movements are silent. I feel the arm was well worth the cost and am happy with my purchase.

[0.105 lb] Upgraded from the Deity D 3 Pro and the S-Mic 2 is one of the best I've heard. Great at sound isolation and has rich tone.

[Hytrel] Was recommended by Booth Junkie. It's not cheap, but really well-built and provides excellent support and mic isolation!

[0.13 lb] Works well with DSLR and isolation is a plus. DSLR is a different animal from a shoulder mount camera and isolating the mic helps immensely. You will need to purchase a screw in hot shoe mount.

[Aluminum] I love the sound this chamber produces and the isolation. I needed to cut the sound floor by just a little and isolate from the laptop motor. This is did the job wonderfully. Plus it came quickly and well packaged. It was easy to install my mic and unit sits securely on the mic stand. It's big, though so I'm just getting used to seeing my script around the unit.

[7.5 lb] Inexpensive, but sturdy stand ably holds up a heavy isolation box with condenser mic. Having this frees up my mic boom stand for instruments or other purposes. I can see using this for a small PA speaker, also.
