[0.2 lb] This windshield and windjammer by rycote is very durable and easily fits the Sennheiser MKH-416 Microphone. It filters out a lot of wind noise with little coloration to the overall quality of the audio. This specific one is designed just for the 416 and works great with any boom pole.

[Yes] Excellent microphone, good sound quality, crystalline, transparent, inherent noise almost imperceptible, metal construction, has only given me joys, in fact I have two units. I also had the renowned Sennheiser MKH-416 P48, and this Sony has nothing to envy. Sony has not done the marketing work required by this microphone, in fact many audio professionals do not even evaluate using a microphone of this brand for professional applications. [Low Cut/HPF] I've only used it once so far for and indoor scene but I couldn't help but notice how it performed over my Sennheiser MKH 416. True, the MKH 416 is better equipped for outside but up until now that was all I had. I loved how if my actors were slightly off from their spot or turned their heads I suffered no roll-off problems at all. The over all tone of the voices was so clear and natural. I can't wait to use this mic on a larger scale.

[Hypercardioid] My ears can't tell the difference between the Synco D2 and the Sennheiser MKH 416! This mic is an incredible value!! Plus, you get a nice carry case, pop filter, and short XLR cable for boom use. What's not to like?

[0.055 lb] Perfect for securing my Sennheiser MKH-416. Eliminates rumble and other vibration noises, holds the microphone firmly, right where I want it. Exactly what I needed.

[2] I used this to record bird vocalizations in the field with a Sennheiser MKH-416 shotgun mic and Auray furry. I am very pleased with the combination. It is lightweight and very portable. 32-bit float recording, and not having to worry about gain controls, makes recording birds much easier in the field. Since using the Zoom F3 I haven't had blown out field recordings.

[10 kOhms] As you might have excepted, my Sennheiser MKH-416 sounded muffled with the foam windscreen installed. Bleh. But with the Octo, the clean highs are perfectly preserved and the microphone sounds great. A bit pricey, but worth it. Definitely recommend.

[5.25 x 3 x 2.5"] I'm using my Sennheiser MKH 416 for voiceover work in a studio. I didn't need something built for the rigors of a film/video shoot and I didn't want to pay a lot. This is perfect for that application. It holds the mic securely, doesn't feel cheap and does the job. Came with extra elastics just in case, but I don't foresee needing them for quite a while.

[0.11 lb] I've used it a couple times in the field now, paired with a sennheiser mkh 416 and the mkh 8050. With a bit of EQ to correct for the difference in the high-end, it pairs well enough to not be crazy noticeable when you need to switch back and forth between lav/boom in post (except to discerning audio pros of course). Coming from the ME2 that comes stock with G4s, the size of the MKE 2 is much better for hiding. Definitely worth the upgrade.

[+28 dBu maximum] Using this on my Sennheiser MKH 416. Does a much better job than the wind cover that came with the mic. It reduces pops to next to nothing, it's quite lightweight and very transparent sounding. Just a really nice design. The small size makes it great for voiceover work as it doesn't block your view for reading even if you bring the mic up close and in front of you.
