[None] This is a simple microphone stand.

[Bus Power] This microphone was purchased as part of a bundle including headphones, a shock-suppressing mount and other items. It is used to record a voiceover commentary for product demonstration videos. The quality of sound is outstanding and the microphone was easy to install.

[Foam] Azden is definitely stepping up with their Microphone. For me this Mic sounds really good and the integrated shock-absorbing shoe mount works well. I love the auto off feature, it shuts off automatically when I turn off my Cam and it goes to sleep too when my cam goes to sleep! The size is a bit big but it does not bother me at all.

[Rubber] I bought B&H's Rode NT-USB Mini USB Microphone Kit with Broadcast Arm and Closed-Back Headphones (BH #RONTUSBMINIB) and was fairly happy with it, but wanted to reduce sound transmitted through the desk-mounted arm. It seems that most shock mounts hold the barrel of the microphone, but the Rode NT-USB mini is a rectangular block rather than a cylinder. It bolts into this mount just fine though. The reduction in sound conducted through the arm is very noticeable. I don't have experience with other shock mounts to compare to, but this works better than I expected.

[Solid-State] So if you're like me and don't have time or patience to sync external audio to your video, look no further. This microphone's +20 dB helps eliminate the noisy built-in pre-amp so you can get clean audio straight into the camera. And the new Rycote Lyre shock mount is way better than the previous shock mount that consisted of elastic bands. Is works like a charm. Also, if you're deciding on whether to get the Windjammer, just buy it with the microphone, because not only will you save some money, but you'll be glad to have it. You need it outdoors when filming in windy situations. Bottom line, if you need a good audio solution and don't have the time for external audio, this is the solution for you.

[4.35 lb] Using it to mount microphones for external sound measurements. Use it along with a shock proof microphone mount. It is very durable and last long!

[Microphone] This shock mount easily holds my rather heavy cube microphone. I have been using a MXL shockmount for it and it was fine but no replacement bands are available for it. It is also twice the price of this unit. Although this one is a little bulkier, it will perform as well and is very economical. No complaints! Plus replacement bands are made and offered for sale for it and I purchased a pair just for good measure at the same time so it's a win-win.

[5/8"-27 Male] This microphone base allows me to use my AKG C404 XLII in it's shock mount in a desktop configuration. I tried several different mini-tripods but none worked well. This was the perfect solution.

[4 x 2.4 x 0.2"] for a not so greatly designed system. I recently ordered this item to replace one of my shock mounts that snapped after trying to work my boom microphone loose to change a battery. Before you replace the item please be sure and measure your width because there are at least TWO different sizes. Replacement was a breeze and Im a lot more careful pulling the microphone out now. Maybe I'll lube it up next time.
