[Mac] If you're debating this keyboard, I recommend it. Here are some minor benefits I've enjoyed: - Backlit keys when color grading in a dark room - Sturdy and doesn't slide on the desk - Bluetooth and wired work seamlessly The surprise benefit is that this keyboard works in Bluetooth mode to enter my password after a complete shutdown and power-up. None of the other non-Apple Bluetooth keyboards I own will do this. They work after a RESTART but not on POWER-UP. I was very impressed that they got this right. NOTE: The following was true when I wrote this review on September 5, 2024. This might sound very nitpicky, but the insert card that came with a keyboard directed me to the following website: Logickeyboard.com/shortcut There is no guide for FCPX. I emailed to inquire about this and was sent a link to the Apple website containing the 900+ page user manual. The shortcut guide is more of a nice to have, but I thought I would call it out anyway. 5 |

[iOS, Mac] Other than not having the touch ID function that Apple's Bluetooth keyboard offers, Satechi does an immaculate job. Even Apple's magic keyboard doesnt have backlit keys, like this one! It's recommend it in a heartbeat over the other one. Well built! 5 |

[Membrane] I've used this for just 2 weeks, but it's the perfect replacement for my Apple wireless keyboard. It's virtually identical except it lies flatter on my desk since it obviously doesn't have the battery compartment (they did include optional sticky rubber pads to tilt the keyboard forward). I replaced my old wireless keyboard since I bought the new 2020 M1 Mac Mini and immediately had the bluetooth issues others have complained about. Weirdly enough, I could solve my keyboard issue by turning my Apple mouse off and on, but it got annoying. Right now, this wired keyboard is perfect, buttons all work as they should, choices of backlighting or not, controls sound levels as well as all the other functions I'm accustomed to using. Plus, no cost of feeding AA batteries to the wireless. Time will tell, but right now, I am satisfied, even if Apple finally does resolve their bluetooth issue. 5 |

[3] I can't believe it too me this long to realize I've been handicapped by the Apple bluetooth keyboard all these years. The Daskeyboard too about four minutes to get used to before I started writing with greater efficiency than I imagined possible. I'm impressed with the materials, the build and the promise, delivered. The cost is well worth it. 5 |

[3-Year ] It is cheaper for the Mini because no monitor or keyboard. I always buy Apple Care but have never had to use it - but if you want to be careful, it is a good buy, 5 |

[0.1 oz / 2 g] I have a 2019 Mac Mini that always had weak bluetooth reception for my mouse & keyboard. I bought is as "refurbished" and this is probably why someone returned it in the first place. Anyway, to get to the point, I ordered 4 solutions from Amazon and this Mini USB adaptor was the only device that fixed my problem. I'm using that same keyboard & mouse to type this review. Even though there wer no instructions on the device, I did plug it in, turn off the Bluetooth reception in the Mac Settings, used a wired mouse to turn Bluetooth back on again and it has worked perfectly for the past 3 weeks. My frustration has ended!!! Thanks StarTech! 5 |

[0.15 lb] Anticipating a new Apple Mini I wanted to see if my hdmi TV monitor w/could work for it (it can't; wouldn't show the apple menubar etc). ... I had to do this exercise using the 2011 era MBpro I was then using which needed the old (OLD!) Thunderbolt T1 or T2 fitting that this post is all about. Oh! and I abhor Amazon so I could only source the item through other vendors. ... Cudo's to B&H and Belkin too. 5 |

[1.67 lb] use it to add Samsung 65 TV to computer system to conference with clients (with bluetooth keyboard and mouse). Don't try to use a USB to power the receiver side - at least mine didn't work until I plugged in the AC adapter 5 |

[Bluetooth, IR] We are big Plex fans and have a Mac mini that we use as a server. Our client WAS the LG app that works on the LGwebOS platform. Unfortunately the LG version was EXTREMELY slow and laggy to navigate. It played back fine but navigation was a nightmare. We fixed that by getting this Apple TV which we primarily use with Plex and YouTube. Navigation is lightning fast and responsive and using Plex is now a joy. The eArc pass thru from our Denon receiver to the LG TV works perfectly. Initial setup of the Apple TV could have been a little smoother but once it's up and running, no complaints. Also REALLY like the remote so much better than the LG remote with its cludgy layout. The Apple Remote is a game changer. 5 |
