[Passive] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect to convert DisplayPort to HDMI This Plugable dongle has been working great to convert my DisplayPort output on my computer to work with an HDMI cable. Important note is that this is one-way: DisplayPort to HDMI, not the other way around. I chose to go with an adapter like this, rather than a cable with different DisplayPort and HDMI ends, as this gives me the freedom to change the HDMI cable I'm using with the computer if I want longer or shorter. No complaints!!

[5.3 lb] We were hooking up an HDMI TV as a second monitor on a PC that had DisplayPort, this cable was perfect. It was the length we needed and avoided having to use an adapter from the DisplayPort on the PC to change to HDMI. Highly recommend use of this cable over a double ended HDMI cable and an adapter.

I read somewhere that using a DisplayPort cable rather than the HDMI one that I was using would help (perhaps the HDMI cable was causing the problem?). Anyway, the DisplayPort cable works fine and the Freeze/Reset problem has not recurred - so far.
