[0.45 lb] Upgraded from a 5d Mark iii. This camera is everything. It's incredible. The focusing is unbelievable. It will perfectly track your subject everytime. It is heavier than the new mirrorless models, so hand holding it all day at a wedding is not ideal, but for sports especially and anything short of an all day event this camera is amazing. Also no one else on the sidelines has a faster shutter than me anymore. It was hard deciding between this and the new mirrorless cameras Canon has out. I was concerned because this is potentially the last non-mirrorless body they're making. This was the absolutely the right choice for me. This uses the EF mount, so I needed no new glass and no mount adapter. I also like looking through the viewfinder at real life rather than the simulated shot. Other photographers I know have the mirrorless cameras and they have all had a few common issues with them that I don't have.

[Yes] After much research and evaluation of my needs, I made the decision on which camera I would upgrade to after my Canon 80D (which is still a great camera): the Mark IV. I am very pleased. I'm sure some would look down on my choice and say go mirrorless. (Maybe someday, after mirrorless has been around and more established/developed.) But I am absolutely pleased that I made the decision for the Mark IV and I would do it again. Shooting full frame is a dream. The resolution is great. It's perfect for me since I don't need enormous files. I was impressed by the dynamic range qualities. I took it on the road right away and was very happy with how my landscape photos turned out. If you are looking to upgrade and hesitant to switch from DSLR, you will not be disappointed in the Mark IV.

[Yes] I bought this to move up from the A7S iii. While cameras like the A7S and FX3 are very capable, they are built in photo-inspired bodies that are more comfortable for those that started out on DSLR or mirrorless. I have started to work a lot more in the field on bigger sets and productions, and have been feeling like I needed to move up from the A7S. The A7S/FX3 are excellent content creation cameras and travel setups, but for dedicated video work, the FX6 is king. It was an intimidating leap, with completely different menus and learning curves compared to mirrorless, but I used it on a shoot for the first time this week and it blew my mind. The ergonomics and video dedicated body design of it combined with internal variable ND are reasons enough to upgrade. I got a bit nervous watching youtubers' experience with the FX6, with most of them saying mirrorless setups are more convenient and that the FX6 slows you down. I notice more and more that youtubers tend to be brand ambassadors rather than people that actually work regularly in the field (not all of them are like this, but many are). It's very easy to say this camera isn't great when you aren't using it how it's designed to be used. If you do regular video work in the field and want a workhorse that is truly a rockstar, the FX6 is an amazing choice. I am excited to not have to rig up my mirrorless cameras anymore and use them as B cams and content creation tools where they can shine more. It is a decent learning curve coming from the mirrorless world, but it is very worth it. I also feel like I made a better investment with this camera. It feels like cinema bodies have much more longevity, where new mirrorless bodies are dropping every month. The FX6 does everything I will need for years to come. Stellar service from B&H per usual. Very happy!

[JPEG, Raw] This is my first introduction into the R series of Canon mirrorless line. I really enjoy how quick it is. I'm coming from a 5d Mark ii. I've enjoyed it so far. Good images, easy to use.

[0.14 lb] I got used to having GPS information in my images from the Canon 5D Mark IV, when i moved to the Canon mirrorless I was not as pleased with just bluetooth tethering to the phone and hoping the GPS info was added to the images. So, i purchased this and it works great on my R and R5.
