[Yes] This Mic has excellent performance and low noise; however, I purchased it to use with my Nikon D7000 and discovered the Nikon external mic pre-amp input stage is too noisy for an external mic connection. I initially tested the mic with an Apogee Duet 2 with Wave Lab 7 and found the mic to be very low noise with excellent stereo performance. The Nikon D7000 internal mic has very little noise; however, connecting a high quality external mic is not an option due to it's poor external mic input noise performance.

[Gold] Great cable for using with external mics that use a 3.5mm to xlr input on cameras. Measure the size you need since they manufacture 1 & 1.5 foot of the same cable.

[Plug-In Power] This mic is an excellent choice for GoPro or mirrorless camera users who want an external mic that won’t block a selfie screen. Since it doesn’t require a hot shoe, it’s good for a Sony a6400 or a Sony RX100 vii, for example. Even though it’s called “omnidirectional,” it’s actually a directional mic that can be swiveled forward or backward. I haven’t tried it outdoors but I assume if you put a small “dead cat” over it, it would perform quite well outside. Nice accessory for 25 bucks.

[Black] I film live events using Canon XL2 cameras. The cameras are a great tool, but they do not accept line level audio input. It must be mic level. On one important shoot, I double checked with the audio technician if he would be able to provide mic level input. He told me that he could, but in fact he could not. I showed up to the shoot without audio tie in. I was forced to use my own mic system. At least I was prepared enough to do that. Never again. These little in line adapters do a fine job reducing line level to mic level without having to carry lots of other equipment.

[0.365 lb] It fits the hot-shoes on all my DSLR's and mirrorless Canon cameras. I've used this to position a mic away from the lens to reduce focus motor noise pick up and to also hold a Lume Cube front-fill light. The cold-shoes are snug and the base shoe locks to the camera. It's solid, strong and fits. Dependable and does the job.

[5 A] Excellent D-Tap to USB-C Power Delivery Cable for Mirrorless Cameras. A must have cable if you own a mirrorless camera and want to power it via a V-Mount Battery so you won't have to worry about the battery dying out on you on a video shoot.

[6.65 x 4.5 x 1"] It's easy to use and does a great job on sensors, both DSLR's and mirrorless cameras.
