Monitoring Headphones For Gaming

[5 Hz to 40 kHz] That is my sassy yes because these headphones are sweeet! I use it for podcast as well as monitoring sound with the zoom h6 recorder. It provides a nice even sound that allows you to accurately mix sound to the best you can. It also comes with two headphone wires one smooth and one coiled up, so you have choices! I definitely recommend these headphones and if you have the extra budget go for the m50x! I hope this review helps those looking for some good monitoring headphones.

[0.025 lb] These are the best headphones I’ve come across for live monitoring. I just used them at a loud event and was able to clearly hear the audio I was recording.

[3/8"-16] These are my go-to monitoring headphones. I'm not an audio pro, but I love the sound on these things and they've stood up to a good amount of travel and use.

[96 dB ] These are an excellent pair of monitoring (I even do some light mixing with them) headphones. I got an open box set that made the price point even more attractive. While pretty comfortable, I do still find ear fatigue becomes a problem after an hour or two at the desk. (But that just encourages you to stand up and take a walk, anyway.)

[10' / 3 m] Comparing this to AKG K240 Studio monitoring headphones it is not as good. But it's very close. This was the only headphone I could find with a removable cable at this price point. Sound quality is very good but not excellent. This may be that I haven't broken the headphones in yet, but the sound stage is stiff and the treble with percussion is a bit muddled without good separation like on the AKG. These headphones have more emphasis on the low-end than the AKG 240's though. Comfort-wise these headphones fit better than AKG from the get-go -- it took awhile for the AKG's to loosen and stop squeezing my glasses to my head. However, I wish the pads were slightly bigger or oval shaped to fit the ears more comfortably. The padding is very soft. Another reviewer noted that the Polsen's 32ohm drivers cannot be driven by an iPad, but this is not the case. I had no issues when testing with normal volumes on an iPad Mini 2. The AKG K240's are 55 ohms in comparison and are decidedly quieter. A good purchase for good quality monitoring.

[6500K CCT] The Senal SMH-1000-MK2 Monitor headphones provide excellent audio for dialog and monitoring of sound. I have another pair of studio head phones from a much more expensive brand and I can not tell the difference between audio quality of the expensive headphones and these. As a bonus I love that these headphones do not look or feel cheap. Sometimes when buying products that are cheaper they tend to have a cheap feel to them, but these do not look cheap and they certainly don't feel cheaply made as well. For audio monitoring and especially for dialog monitoring I think these are well worth it. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[1] If you use your I-Phone to do radio remotes, this is what you need. You'll be able to use headphones for monitoring and a decent mic for interviewing, announcing, etc. The only weak link is the jack in the phone itself, so treat it well! A well made cable.
