[0.495 lb] One of the Q&A’s says the Bescor BLS50AC dummy battery adapter kit is not compatible with the Olympus E-PL9. I asked Bescor ( answers@bescor.com ) why the kit is compatible with the Olympus OM-D E-M5/M10, but not the Olympus Pen E PL9, since all three use the same Olympus BLS-50 battery. The response was: “It will work. Your camera just needs to be added to our list.” The Bescor is 8V 3A. The Olympus battery is 7.2V 1175 mAh (1.175A). I did some online research to see if a device built for 7.2V could operate at 8V. One person describing himself as an engineer posted that 7.4V Lithium batteries actually span a 6V to 8.4v voltage range depending on state of charge of the battery. Another “senior electrical engineer” said that because all devices are designed with some voltage tolerance value, a 7.4 volt device means 7.4 volt +/- 1 to 1.5 volts. Still other posts indicated that you can use a 3A power adapter on a 1.5A device. By logical extension, I figured (I don’t actually know) that since the PL9 uses a 7.2 volt battery, it is probably designed to also work at 8 volts, and is also okay running at 3A. Based on the response from Bescor and the Internet voltage and amperage responses, I decided to purchase the Bescor and use it with my PL9. I haven’t seen any sign of overheating or other problems with this setup so far, but will update this review if that changes. I did not deduct points for the need to leave the battery compartment open because I knew that would be the case when I bought it. 5 |

[11.66 lb] The condition of the 7.2V battery could only be determined by the proper operation in the GigaPan unit. The original battery received did not take a full charge, but the exchange for a good battery was done quickly and professionally! 5 |

[2300 x 1080] I was already using a Motorola G8 Plus and it was fine. There were some things I didn't like about file structures and certain apps but I overlooked those because of the fantastic battery life. I read an article about the Moto G and saw it has an even longer battery life. You can never say no to longer battery life and this one can honestly go 2 to 3 days if I only use it sparingly. And by that, I mean check messages maybe every 4 hours play WWF only a few times a day and make only the calls you need to make. Also, turn all the notifications off, which I always do. I keep all my ringtones on my sd card but wasn't able to select them on the new phone so I ended up calling tech support. They instructed me to copy them from the card to the phone and boom, there they all were. Problem solved. The phone is easy for me to hold and handle in my hand, isn't too heavy, and I see the screen just fine in bright sunshine outside. I really haven't found a downside to this phone and don't think I will. 5 |

[11.1 VDC] I use this battery as a back-up to my Nikon battery EN-EL4a rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery Pack. I always use my original Nikon battery but if I am out in the field and my Nikon battery goes down after many shots, I then switch to the the Watson EN-EL4A Lithium-Ion Battery Pack as my back-up until I can re-charge the Nikon battery again at home. I find it's more economical using it that way since there is such a big price difference between the Nikon Battery and the Watson Battery. However the Watson battery is a very good battery and reliable in every way. 5 |

[0.1 lb] I purchased the 3400 mAh Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery for my LEDlenser ML6 Lantern so that I would have a spare. The lantern comes with a stock 3000 mAh OEM battery. Using a battery analyzer made for testing of Lithium Ion 18650 batteries, I placed both batteries side by side. I ran four tests that Charged/Discharged and Charged again. I wanted to both exercise the new batteries, as well as compare their performance 3000 mAh vs 3400 mAh. Surprisingly the 3000 mAh battery out performed the 3400 mAh battery by a great deal. This was disappointing to have purchased a top notch battery so I would have extra capacity for my ML6 Lantern. Perhaps the company should question their supplier. The 3400 mAh battery was left in the dust. 3000 mAh LEDlenser Battery 3400 mAh LEDlenser Battery Test #1 3263 mAh 3137 mAh Test #2 3269 mAh 3176 mAh Test #3 3357 mAh 3178 mAh Test #4 3316 mAh 3179 mAh 5 |
