Mount Ipad On Camera Tripod

[Orange / Black] The specs claim that the Glide Gear Tablet Mount Adapter (B&H #GLSYL2) will fit tablets from 3 to 9 wide. I had been looking for something with which to mount an iPad Pro on a tripod or on my Fat Gecko Dual-Suction Camera Mount (B&H#DEFGM). There doesn't seem to be anything available for an iPad Pro. However, this bracket seemed to be very close so i thought I would try it. IT DOES FIT!--even if just barely. With the iPad case cover folded back it is a tight fit, but it does fit. With the cover removed (it is held to the case magnetically) it is an easy fit. One caveat though: it fits only on the shorter side of the iPad Pro. It doesn't even come close to fitting on the longer side. that means that you will need to orient your iPad in landscape mode rather than portrait mode. The unit itself seems very well engineered and constructed. A previous review stated that the thumbscrew only has about three turns before the screw, the slide both & your tablet all fall. However, only one-quarter turn is required to loosen the slide enough to install or remove a tablet. There should never be a need to loosen the screw more than that. I use the Mount Bracket to attach my iPad to a tripod or a suction mount when shooting tethered. It is much easier to review each shot on a tablet rather than on the tiny camera screen.

[2.5 lb] I originally got this arm to mount an iPad to our tripod legs via a magic clamp and iPad bracket. It is OUTSTANDING for this use and part of our daily workflow. The only thing is, it's the perfect tool for MANY other jobs around the studio, like holding flags or cards in product work, holding speed lights in tricky angles over the table, etc. So we now have 3 and I still could use more. They hold plenty of weight and can twist into the perfect angle quickly. The variable friction is perfect for those who want it tight enough to hold but loose enough to move something by hand. Build quality is great, it's simple, and works like a charm. We also have a manfrotto 244 arm and this is interchangeable in our work. No difference from our perspective.

[3.05 x 1.5 x 1"] Purchased a new iPad to live stream college sporting events. This tripod mount fits the iPad perfectly, is simple to adjust, and is sturdy. Existing shoe from a tripod screws into the bottom of the mount.

[6061 Aluminum] I've purchased many different tablet tripod mounts and by far this is the sturdiest and well made tripod mount for your tablet. I'm using it for my iPad mini and my iPhone.

[0.25 lb] I started to get the plastic model of this tripod mount, but chose to spend just a few dollars more for this metal mount. Wow, the fit, finish, design are awesome. I love it. Very rugged, easy to handle, rubber inserts on the mounting wings. Note, you cannot depend on this to retain your iPad Mini if you swing or jerk the tripod around, but it holds the iPad quite firmly. Simple to use, rugged. I've used it with small table top tripods, a regular tripod, and a small monopod. The best way I found to attach it is to set my iPad Mini upside down and pull the wings out and slip the mount onto the iPad. You cannot pull the spring loaded wings out with one hand while holding the iPad with the other hand as it takes two hands to extend the wings against the spring's return/gripping force. Dual alignment rods, very rigid, wonderfully finished. Well worth the cost. I also found it would work with my Amazon Kindle Touch, though not much reason to do so. I am glad I bought this mount, it will be so useful. Folds up very small for storage.

[120 Hz] I searched for a metal tripod mount for my iPad Mini 6 and opted for the Ulanzi U-Pad. Perfect choice. Very heavy duty and solid. Could use a little more room in the too and bottom grips for an encased iPad but still works fine. Highly recommend, especially if you're trying to use less plastic and if you prefer solidly built equipment that will last indefinitely.

[Tilt: 180°] I bought this to mount an iPad to use for videoconferencing at my desk. I mounted it on a lightweight tripod. Works very well. Well made.

[Nylon] I bought this so I can keep both my camera's ready to mount on my tripod. It's well made and reasonably priced.
