[Stereo Pair] A music producer I know recommended Adam A7x7's for my home recording studio. I had been using the classic Yamaha NS 10M studio monitors and always thought they were awful ( even though I knew if I could make something sound good on them, it would sound good on any speakers). I also did a lot of comparative research, which also convinced me to go for the Adam AX7x7s. Glad I went with them. They are great and I couldn't be happier.

[3' / 0.9 m] i use these for my commute. they are clearly designed for studio recording use, but they have noise isolation, so even when i'm not listening to music, i still don't hear noise on the train. they need a bit of stretching, but are pretty comfortable. a bit heavy for most people, but i like the weight, it makes them feel substantial. the cable stood up to my one year old biting it, very strong. and while its not necessary for music enjoyment, the mono/stereo switch is fun to play with and gives you an appreciation of what goes into making a track.

[4] For anyone passionate about composing and recording music at home, away from a commercial studio, this product is ideal. There are 4 XLR / 1/4'' inputs with preamps, and the interface also has 48V phantom power so mics can bus power from the device itself. I was used to just running directly into my computer and having this interface made a world of a difference. A musician friend actually turned me onto it. I can have bass, guitar, synth, and microphone all connected at once, with zero noticeable latency. Also, the connection and the quality of the audio I record is pristine. I would recommend this project to anyone and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

[Clear] So happy with this purchase! I was looking for something to purchase for a music program I'm starting with a non-profit that wouldn't break the bank, this was exactly what I needed. Where we are recording is not ideal, but it's a start and I needed something that would help in some of the noise coming from the room next to our studio. This is just perfect! The kids, (they are adults, but to me they are my kids) love it as well. I wanted them to feel like they were in a real recording studio and this helps in giving them that. Built quality is great and I especially like the adapter that allows you to only need one stand, unlike the one I have at home where I have one stand for the mic and one for the reflector, since we are on a super small budget this really helps eliminate the need for another stand.

[1.8 lb] I bought this mic for two reasons...1) field recording from boom pole, and 2) studio ADR recording. Not only does it do both extremely well, it also can be used as an alternative to that other shotgun mic they use out in L.A. for movie trailer announcers! Cuts through a mix when getting super close proximity, which isn't what it was designed for but, hey, it works.

[Unidirectional] I got this as cheap mic to use with my iPhone when recording music ideas. The first thing I noticed is how well it was constructed. Its made of metal, not plastic. And I love that its a condenser mic that doesnt require a battery. It comes mounted on a DSLR shoe mount, but I wish it had a mounting adapter for phones. Recording quality is clean and clear.

[Phantom Power] Our music department purchased the KSM137 pair for recording ensemble concerts. The mic setup used for all of the ensembles is a near-coincident, almost ORTF spacing. The results are excellent! Factoring in the cost makes this a perfect choice for school music departments on a budget.
