[Multi Coated] I bought this Hoya filter specifically for solar photography and in a size that fitted my largest front end diameter lens, making use of step rings to attach it to smaller lenses. I will only be using this on mirrorless cameras, as it is not recommended for any use that directs sunlight to the eye. It works. I was able to photograph the midday full sun using a normal range of aperture and shutter speed settings in conjunction with low ISO settings. The best results revealed a well exposed and defined sun with sunspots visible. There was no indication that the camera or lens received any form of damaging solar radiation and I felt safe using this filter.

[0.265 lb] I tried this filter after reading a great many reviews and tests where it was compared directly to the Breakthrough Photography filter. I have been using Breakthrough Photography filters and have been very happy with them both in build quality and captured images. Getting a 112mm ND filter from Breakthrough turned out to be a futile effort, never in stock, always on back order with no indication of when I could actually get the filter. After doing some research on the NiSi ND filter I decided to purchase one of their 112mm ND filters and I am glad that I did. Quality of construction is very high, fit and finish is excellent along with smooth threads that allowed for easy attachment and removal. Most important was image quality and this filter did not let me down one single bit. No image degradation that I could detect from center to edges, no loss of sharpness that I could detect anywhere in the image and best of all there was no color cast when compared to a regular image of the same scene without the ND filter being used. What a great filter, excellent results, easy to use, easy to clean and quite a bit less money than the Breakthrough model. I could not be happier, I would recommend this filter and would not hesitate to purchase another NiSi ND filter (different stop value) in the future.

[0.65 lb] I am learning about landscape photography, waterfalls in particular. The polarizer and ND filter are nice to work with producing colors are are natural. I plan of getting some stronger ND filters in the future.

[77 mm] The Hoya 67mm ND 0.6 filter is a must have filter for anyone shooting landscape photography. When the sun in shining bright, the filter will limit the amount of light passing through the aperture by about 2 stops, without any loss of clarity or color. It will also allow you to stop down without sacrificing shutter speed. A terrific lens with a very resonable price tag, I would strongly recommend it to my friends.

[Glass] I used this and a 0.9 Hard Edge ND filter with the Hitech holder for a photography workshop at Yosemite National Park. It was recommended by the workshop facilitator. Align it at the horizon or any angle to tone down intense highlights and it magically adjusts your exposure for professional looking compositions. Very dramatic during early sunrise and late sunsets. Looks so much more natural and realistic than using HDR. I also have the graduated ND filters that came with the starter kit but found the these hard edge ones even more useful in many compositions. I will definitely bring your photography up to the next level.
