Nest Doorbell Or Camera

[WPA, WPA2, WEP] Firstly it's a shame that Google still hasn't officially offered and supported the Google Nest Video Doorbell in Australia. Now that I have it, I can't understand technically why. Thankfully B&H Photo offer the product to us Aussies and the ordering and pricing was fantastic. In short, I couldn't be happier with the device. The install was straight forward and the responsiveness of receiving alerts is with a second or two. Following are some other points others might find useful. - i didn't have an existing doorbell. I only had a CAT6 cable running to the doorbell. I am using a 24V AC 1AMP power supply located approx 20m away to power the doorbell over 2 pairs of the CAT6 cable. No issues whatsover. - My cable was already approx 1500 high off the ground which unfortunately is a little too high to see the ground in the video. - I don't have a chime. I am using the Google minis around the home to announce visitors and it works great. - The AI of Nest aware subscription is awesome. Love that it recognises faces and announces them. It also detects a parcel being delivered and also the parcel being collected. Worth the extra subscription fee. - 2 way audio communication is loud and clear. Video resolution is also great. So as you can probably pickup I am really happy with it. Thanks again to BH Photo for providing a trustworthy and reliable service to your international customers.

[Yes] The Nest doorbell is the best option for the price point. What makes this stand apart is the deeper integration into the Google ecosystem. The fact it announces who is at the door on your Google Home devices after you've trained it is awesome.

[0.75 lb] I have 3 Nest IQ Outdoor cameras and have just installed the Nest Hello Doorbell. The products are all excellent in quality. My only issue is the lag time from actual movement to the time I get notification. There seems to be a considerable time from real time to notification. I have the highest speed internet available so not sure where the problem lies. Any ideas on how to improve this?

[1 to 3 Hours] Ordered the Google Nest doorbell from B&H as we don't get any choice of colour in Australia. Setup was super easy and comes with everything you need, the app walks you through the whole setup process. Video quality during the day or at night is extremely clear, I have this set up with my Sonos speakers to notify when someone is at the door. Would highly recommend the nest doorbell. Only one side note is that notifications can sometimes delayed depending on internet/ reception. I've noticed this mainly when outside the house.

[1/3"] I already had Nest Doorbell battery and loved it. But unfortunately it stops working in Minnesota winters. So I purchased the wired version. It works perfectly and google now allows to view live video from browser as well, which was something which everyone requested.

[1] Nice camera , similar to the nest but at a lower price. I would definitely be buying more.
