Netgear Dual Band Mesh Wifi Extender

[Auto-MDIX/MDI] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] NETGEAR AX1600 WiFi 6 Mesh Extender (EAX12) was an easy installation setup process, the app was easy to download and provides strong signal.

[Windows ] I found the NETGEAR AC600 Dual Band WiFi USB Adapter (A6100) convenient for boosting WiFi on my older laptop, but the setup was frustrating. I had to use another device to get it connected to WiFi, and it took too long to figure out. While it offers great speeds on the 5GHz band, the range isn’t great, and the build is compact. Overall, it’s a good first option, but the setup process was a letdown. Rating: 7/10

[PCI Express] Bought this for new PC build, to connect to dual band Orbi mesh system. Installed easily. Came with driver update CD for both wifi and bluetooth. After installation, wifi works great and BT shows up, but haven't connected anything with it yet. I see no TP-Link programs or settings, so evidently it seamlessly provides signals to CPU. Would recommend!

Setup and administration are easily executed using your browser or the mobile app. There are also helpful reference videos online. Very pleased with the design, quality, and performance of this product, provides commercial grade network security with no annual subscription costs.

[0.02 lb] The Netgear AC600 increased the speed of my computer but made it WiFi compatible without the need of a second modem.

[1.42 lb] Our house was not wired with Ethernet cables and I could not get a wifi signal (I purchased a much needed upgraded router and tried a top of the line extender without any luck) into our garage for a sprinkler control panel. I finally came across reviews for the Netgear Powerline 2000+ and figured I would try them out. I plugged the adapter into our power outlet next to the router and plugged the other one on the other side of the house. I pay for 100 mb and average about 98.3 to 98.5 next to the router. Testing the Netgear Powerline 2000+ I get around 97 to 97.3 from it. Since the speed was so good, I put the adapter in a bedroom next to our garage and turned my old router into an AP and now have 70% signal strength in the garage and backyard. Great product for the price, as I saved $60 over the "high end" extender
