Neumann Kh 120 Active Studio Monitor

[360°] I just bought a pair of Neumann kh 80's and I had hoped getting a couple of stands would help with positioning. They have done that and more. They're easy to place as well as raise and lower, but they are amazingly heavy... in a good way. The bonus is with the rubber feet and top stands. They aren't glue sticky but they hold the speakers tightly in place. Awesome!

[Screw-Knob] I have used this combination boom and stand in the studio for more years than I can remember. It's like a Neumann microphone...it's not a studio without one. Tuff, smooth and easy to use. Nothing bad to say about it.

[-10 dB] The NEUMANN U 87Ai is a studio microphone with outstanding performance and an attractive shape. NEUMANN microphones are the best. This company has almost 90 (ninety) years of experience in the manufacture of microphones. Truly amazing.

[Phantom Power] I have a project studio and record primarily acoustic instruments (Guitar, piano, various stringed instruments, hand percussion and vocals etc) Already own a set of Neumann KM 184's and an AKG C214 Large Diaphragm but have always had a fondness for the AKG small diaphragm sound ever since I started out years ago with a Vienna made C1000 (which I still have and love). I wanted another small diaphragm option and the 451's deliver big time. To be totally non technical I would describe the AKG's sound as open and airy especially on fingerstyle acoustic guitar. I tell people think of the old Windham Hill guitar sound. (yes I know they used Neumann's too). You will not go wrong with this mic if you play acoustic music.

[3/8"-16, Male] It's big and it delivers. This is always a go to mic for vocals in my studio. Other mics include Neumann U87ai, Blue Kiwi, Shure KSM44s, and a Rode K2. They are all fantastic mics with individual character. The Gemini has been the best fit for a lot of vocalists. It has warmth, a sweet top end, and it just sounds right. Background noise is almost non-existent and it shares a spot with the best mics for this. The mic is big and heavy, so make sure your stand is up to the task with a counterweight if you are using a boom. Impressive to stand in front of, and impressive results. A favorite in my collection.

[4.08 lb] The HAUC Active Stereo Headphone Control Box by Whirlwind fits the bill perfectly for studio headphone control. Easily mounted under the desk, it is a solid piece of gear. In my studio, I have several headphone locations branching off a multi-headphone amp. Using the HAUC, i am able to give each user a choice of 3.5 mm and 1/4 jacks, and full volume control. Installation was a breeze with four screws. At my news-talk table, I have daisy-chained three thanks to the dual jacks in the back, and each still has its own volume control. Well worth the money and highly-recommended.

[100.0 µm] Used Fomapan 120 film for a studio photography class and I am very happy with the results. I would use this film again and would tell anyone that!
