This waterproof case is dirt-simple, rugged, and relatively inexpensive. Our old Sony is a bit dated, but still a pretty good camera. Now that we have a new Nikon, I'll risk the old Sony for snorkeling duty in Central America this spring.

[0.05 lb] Since I have been working with Sony HDR-GW77 waterproof camcorder in 2014, the original battery has a short time of life. I looked for the genuine Sony battery. But, I found Sony already stopped to produce it a while ago. B&H suggests a Watson NP-BG1 battery from its website. Then, I am so happy to see the great performance of this replacement battery. Plus, it is cost effective. No regret. Thank you.
