[APS-C] Back in the 1970's me and my Nikon F2 had a Nikkor reflex. They were an odd duck to use but fun. With the new 400 and 500 f8 reflex lenses by Tokina, and my getting back into film, it made sense to grab one of these inexpensive telephoto's to hook up to my refurbished Nikon F2p. They are lightweight, with manual focus, and an f-stop that requires some fast film. With modern post processing, the loss of contrast is easily fixed. Unusual doughnut shaped Bokeh can be used to your advantage but some folks find the out of focus areas messy. It works very well for night time shots when mounted to an astronomical guided tripod.

[Sony E] Works like advertised. I use it with the Nikon Nikkor AI 35mm F2 (Nikon F Mount Ai) for a Sony a6500; fits tight, focus ♾. Great buy.

[1.48 lb] I have 2 rangefinders (one with a 35mm f2 mounted, 1 with a built in 40mm), a half frame, and an m mount 50mm in the bag plus a small flash, light meter, and 3 rolls of film. It all fits and like my other TT products this seems built like a tank.

[1.085 lb] Buying a new lens is always risky. This lens turned out to be as sharp as my Leica 50mm f2 APO but has the added advantage of very shallow bokeh. The color rendition and contrast are very attractive. Are they as good as the Leica 50 mm APO?  That is too subjective to answer because each lens gives different renditions at different times. But I’d put the two lenses in the same class.

[f/2.8] I really like this lens! I had a 7artisans 50mm F1.8, but this Opteka 50mm F2 lens is better. I got it in Fuji X-mount. It fits a little bit tightly on my X-T3. but almost loosely on my X-E1 (still a good fit). I have another Opteka lens and also a Meike lens, and they both fit this same way, so it's normal. Focus ring and aperture ring turn smoothly through their ranges. Aperture ring has no click-stops but I can live with this. Infinity focus is before the infinity marking on the focus ring, but that's OK with me. Center sharpness is very good F2-F5.6, but diffraction softens this beginning at F8. For good sharpness across the APS-C frame you really need to stop it down to F5.6 - F8, but for most of what I do, I don't really need sharpness across the frame. It delivers very good contrast and presence (hard to define this but it's a good thing). Highly recommended!

[Black] I always enjoyed my classic film Pentax K1000 with a SMC 50mm f2, true to being a Pentaxian I went looking for a digital equivalent and found the answer in the FA 35 mm f2 currently using it on an APS-C Pentax camera body, the quality is there and the feel of those film days are back again !!

[3.5 oz (100 g)] Fuji makes great lenses and this 50mm F2 R WR is no exception--fast, easy to focus a very good in MF and AF---good for portraits, landscapes and street photography--nice change of pace lens from my heavier zooms

[200] I tried this film, for the first time, by running it through my Leica, using both a 50MM F2 Summicron and a 35MM F2 Summicron, utilising a Leitz 39MM deep red filter. I determined the exposure compensation by holding the filter in front of the meter, taking a reading, and then another reading without the filter and arrived at 3&1/2 stops which equates to a filter factor of 8-10, or so. In any event, the images were spectacular! The sky is rendered almost black and clouds were a brilliant white, with detail (think Zone 2-3) in them. Without a filter, SPX performs closely to a regular B&W film in its rendition. I had a lot of fun using this film, not being sure of the outcome but I was quite pleased with the results and I will not hesitate to use it again. Hope this was useful for you...

[0.205 lb] Leica Summicron-M 50mm F2 lens (c.1982) to a new Sony a7R3 body is a good combo for me. Sony body set to "Auto" and up and going right out of the box. An old Kodak +3 close-up (supplementary) lens is a cheap way to get higher magnification with the Summicron.

[Multi Coated | ] The Hoya is a nice addition to my new glass 50mm 1.8 Nikkor. No change in portrait photos and haven't done to many landscape photos to say if I notice any change. It's a strong filter that will protect your costly lens. I just leave mine on 24/7.
