[4] Recently purchased the Nikkor 200-500 telephoto zoom lens and needed a tripod to handle the lens, which weighs in at a little over 5 lbs. This tripod with the Manfrotto heavy lens head is an awesome combination. It not only manages the weight of the 200-500 and my D500, but is rock solid even when on uneven footing. The tripod folds up to approximately 20 and is extremely light. Very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

I haven't used it with my macro lens yet bt have used it with my 100-400 zoom and it did exactly what i needed it to; allow closer focusing at the 400mm end of the zoom. I would recommend this accessory to anyone.

[0.175 lb] This is a great lens. The f/4 aperture keeps the weight much lower than f/2.8 70-200mm zoom telephoto lenses. It maintains all full automatic features when coupled with the Pentax 1.4x extender and this combination allows this lens to replace two larger and much heavier lenses. This is especially important for travel.
