Nikkor Z 14 30Mm F 4 S

[0.245 lb] I am using 82mm Smoque 2 filter with 14-30mm S lens for Nikon Z. Very little or no vignetting even st 14mm. It gives a good volume to the background atmosphere without making subject blurry or too soft. It removes blemishes on the face and still maintains sharpness. In my opinion it works better indoors than outdoors.

[Plastic] I love the magnetic filter holder system by H&Y. I can use it with my Nikon 14-30mm S lens with no vignetting at the 14mm end. My only complaint is that the magnetic frames are a little difficult to assemble

[0.05 lb] I thought that I could save a few bucks by going with the 14-30mm Z lens, but the multiple distortions were a real problem for the interiors that I shoot. Way too much time (and frame edges) was lost in fixing every shot. So in switching, getting an extra f/stop is nice, but not the biggest reason for making this switch. While the 14-24mm f/2.8 is not a real rectilinear lens, it has better control of distortion and has greater edge to edge sharpness. That and other benefits explains why the 14-24mm is basically twice the price. If you're on the fence trying to decide which wide angle zoom you will ultimately buy, and you are a serious interior and landscapes photographer, don't waste your time just to save a few bucks.

[58 mm (Front)] Youd think for the price this would have some flaws. At f.1/4 its pretty sharp at f.2 its razor sharp. I did not look at the outer edges of the frames as Im concerned with my subject. Good buy for the price.

[Neutral density] Using this for landscapes on the 14-24mm Nikkor. Fits straight on the Wonderpana system. Would buy the skinny version to leave an extra slot free on the FreeArc rather than this one.

[82 mm] This filter is being used on a Hasselblad HCD24 lens and a Nikkor Z 14-24mm lens to good avail. There is no color cast and I cannot detect any degradation in sharpness. I can't say anything about longevity right now, but the manufacturing quality looks promising. This and a ND1.8-Stops filter are my first products from this company. Time will tell if there will be more. I can recommend this filter.

[Full-Frame] I am extremely happy with the images captured with the 14-24 Nikkor lens. Sharp, fast in low light, and I very much appreciate its compact size and low weight.

[1.1 lb] Having used the DSLR Nikkor 14-24mm Lens for years it was a dream to move to the Z version of this lens. It's smaller, lighter and beautifully matched to the Z8, and this filter holder just completes the package.
