Nikon Lens On Blackmagic Cinema Camera

[T22] I purchased this lens to go with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. This was my first Rokinon Cine DS lens, and I was worried because I thought the plastic build would be cheap and crack easily. To my surprise and delight, this thing is built like a tank. The focus and aperture gears are incredibly smooth and nearly silent, and the markings on the lens are easily readable in various conditions of light. Every aperture I tested is very sharp and clean, with a nice natural color and smoothness to it thats good for skin tones and human/animal subjects. Im definitely going to purchase several more of these for film and video work. Im very happy.

[f/16] I am using this lens on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera (film stuff) and it is terrific. Great clarity, excellent focus. The lens is smooth and quiet. Performs very well in low light situations. For the price, this lens is worth every penny.

[1/2.5" (5 MP)] Used with Blackmagic pocket cinema camera 4K this lens works very well. the fisheye effect is nice and fills the frame (shooting 4K 4096x2160). Image is sharp to the edges, and focus is very forgiving. If you have the lens hood installed you will see it on the edges of the frame, but it is easily removed while shooting.

[600D Polyester] A very nice and solid case for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera.

[Aluminum] With this adapter I'm able to use my EF-S lenses for my Blackmagic pocket cinema camera.

[0.06 lb] So far, so good. I've used this card in a Nikon Z6iii and Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6k Full Frame. This card is a fantastic value, considering it's the new 4.0 spec. I've had no issues with dropped frames on the BMC6k in 6k open gate RAW 3:1 or the buffer filling on my Nikon Z6iii. The speed test is taken on my M3 Max 16 MBP using the OWC Atlas CFexpress type B card reader. I think the results are a limitation of my Thunderbolt port and not the card itself.

[4x 18650] I have tried it with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, which is too wide to fit without some kind of adapter. First, I just used the riser that comes with the gimbal, offsetting the upper plate. That worked, but made it hard to attach the camera. Then I got a quick release plate (just an inexpensive one made by a company called Andoer). That is certainly more convenient. I have never used a gimbal before, but found it very easy to balance the camera on it. The roll lock certainly helps. I would guess it took no more than 5 minutes, and I expect to get faster at it as I gain experience. Its very easy and intuitive to use, solidly built, and the motors are certainly strong enough (but I havent tried it with a heavy lens). The batteries take a long time to charge, but seem to last a long time. I suspect one could get a full day of use out of them.
