Nikon Macro Lens 200Mm

[52mm] First of all, I purchased this ring flash to be used on a nikon 200mm F/4 macro lens. I always wanted this lens and finally decided to add this lens to my nikon family of glass. Now I have a new photographic assignment, that well require a ring light because I well be photographing artificial iris patients. As soon as I received the ring flash it went right on the 200mm without any problem using the 58mm adaptor ring (included) with the nice case that holds all of the adaptor rings as well as the command and flash unit. Simple to use and understand, and perfect exposures with a very small learning curve. I well be using this flash for all kinds of macro opportunity to use it both inside the studio, and outside as weather permits.

[1.42' (36 mm)] I purchased this to mount my Nikon 200mm f4 macro to a Wimberley Gimbal. Works great! No more twisting and slipping- it is very solid. This is my first Really Right Stuff item but it won't be my last. The fit and finish is excellent, a little pricey as with all quality photography gear but I don't mind paying when the item is top quality.

[2:1] I bought this to get back into macro photography. My previous Macro Lens was a Nikon 105mm G on a D300. Yeah, it's been awhile. This new Laowa lens exceeded my expectations. It is superbly sharp from corner to corner at most apertures. It is very well built. And I really prefer macro lenses to be MF only, which this lens is. This is by far my favorite macro lens for the Fuji X System. The only minor criticisms that I could make is that I wish it had weather sealing - that's it!

[0.125 lb] It was with great anticipation that I received my Tamron 70-200mm G2. After renting a Nikon 70-200mm VII I had really high expectations for the Tamron.� I took 20 or 30 photos, put them in the computer and viewed them at 100%. There was just not the sharp, crisp look that I had gotten from the Nikon. I had read so many good things about the lens that I couldn't believe it was that bad. I had a sinking, disappointed feeling and was thinking about just forgetting about it and looking for other options but then I decided to get another and try it one more time.... I didn't want to wait for a return so I just ordered a new one and sent the old one back simultaneously... the difference between the two copies was incredible... I am shooting with a D750, so if you are disappointed at the image quality, then you probably have a bad copy.(to test it, I ran through all the apertures at the approximate labeled zoom on the lens and then view all the images at 100%)....

[105 mm (Front)] It's obvious that the lens has a ton of range, but the macro capabilities at 200mm are surprisingly good. There is great detail through the entire range and it focuses fast. I use it to shoot track and field and the ability to shoot multiple events from a single location is fabulous. I'm in love with this lens.

[0.15 lb] Swallowed a Nikon D810 + battery grip + Nikon 70-200mm f4 lens in one easy gulp. Nice jostle protection. Will be great with other such covers in an unpadded case. I wouldn't expect much for a drop to concrete though.
