[1.7 oz / 48 g] Buy an extra battery for the Olympus OM-D M1 since they only last about 350 clicks, no matter if you make weddings, portraits or tourist in another city, you always have to have at least one extra battery if you want to leave the charger in home.

[1.25 lb] Designed to work with the Olympus OM-D E-M1X, but also works with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II and the Mk III with the HLD-9 battery grip in place. Allows one to work in the studio independently of the state of the batteries. When the camera is turned off, the AC-5 will then charge the batteries. [Download] I purchased this automatically based on my experience with the E-M1 series (original, mark 2, & mark 3) on which it was not unusual to accidentally knock off the eyepiece and sometimes lose it. So I always kept a spare on hand. I ordered this eyepiece for the OM-1 without having actually yet received my OM-1. Once I did get the new camera, I saw that the design was much improved such that it won't get knocked off nearly as easily. So it turns out I really didn't need it after all. The price was insignificant enough so I kept it anyway.

[0.7 lb] This is a welcome addition to the OM-D E-M1. It is well suited for your entire hand gripping the camera. The added battery power is an advantage when shooting all day. Because the OM-D E-M1 has a side fitting for the SD card, you do not need to remove the battery holder/grip to change SD cards. The OM-D E-M10 does not have this feature. On that camera you have to remove the grip to access the SD card. You do have to remove the grip to access the battery for the camera. I leave the grip on all the time. It restores a great balance to the camera when using certain lenses, plus, the tripod fitting is in the middle of the grip. You will not regret purchasing this item especially if you like to shoot vertically...all controls for the vertical position.
