Om1 Omni Condenser Microphone

[3.415 lb] This is the best value in low cost small diaphragm condenser microphones that I have found. Offering both Omni and Cardioid capsules, other microphones usually cost more than double the price for similar features. There is no switch to click to change the mic pattern; one simply has to unscrew the capsule and change it that way. I use it for recording acoustic guitar and find the sound to be perfect and I am very happy with my purchase. I'm so glad I got this mic as it is now discontinued....so get em' while they're still to be found. As a side note, this microphone is almost identical to the Superlux 241.

[0.715 lb] Essential and very useful. Professional interview kits should always contain this OMNI microphone or one very similar to it. If you get in the habit of using an OMNIDIRECTIONAL mic for handheld interviews, you will eventually realize that many, many interviews are saved from the awful off-mic level dropout that very often occurs wirh any handheld cardiod or unidirectional style mic.

[50 Hz to 20 kHz] I bought the AKG C3000 primarily because I was looking for a decent condenser microphone, form a reputable manufacturer, within budget. I never expected a magnificent sound from this mic. But my expectations were surpassed considering the sound derived form the C3000. To begin with, this mic is solidly built in Vienna, Austria and looks elegant in black metallic finish. I use it with m101 preamp and the sound is clear and upfront. Given the price, it delivers a well defined sound. I am pleased!
