Otterbox Note 8 Floating Phone Case

[0.96 lb] I picked this up to use with my phone (Samsung Note 9 with an Otterbox case) and it just wedges in the Xuma spring loaded mount enough to hold the phone in place. I wanted something I could carry around in my back pocket when hiking and recording events (I was tired of makeshift tripod using trees, bushes, rocks, etc.). This tripod fit the bill for the intended purpose. That said, for kicks I tried mounting my Canon T1i /EOS 500D DSLR with a EF-S 18 - 200mm zoom lens and it would not hold its shape; acting more like play-doh. However, it did support the same camera with the 18 - 55mm kit lens on a flat surface. So, the tripod works as advertised and little beyond.

[0.275 lb] I drop my phone often and have always used otterbox. This is my first non-otterbox case as recommended to me and I love it. I'm now looking at other products

[Aluminum] This is perfect. I'm using it for a Google Pixel 3 (with an Otterbox case on the phone). Very sturdy, resizes to hold the phone perfectly. It's a little on the heavy side, but definitely should hold up a long time.

[Polymer] I dropped my second otterbox case into the mechanical section of my couch while I was asleep and proceeded, half asleep, to move the couch up and down with the button, unaware that my phone happened to fall precisely between the only 2 parts that move. I vertically squished my phone with the huge couch during my nap and the case stayed in tact, though the top cracked and bent outward so it's no longer usable. The only damage done to my phone is the back glass cracked, breaking the Face ID device where the cracks are located. I'm beyond impressed that my phone survived that so I hopped on here to write a review before I buy my 4th otterbox case--a solid color to help me forget about my mistake :(

[0.9 lb / 0.4 kg] I have a similar RAM mount for my previous phone and Otterbox case but it was too small. This larger one works great for my Galaxy S21 with the Otterbox Defender case. The phone fits securely in the holder like it should. Great product - far superior to anything else out on the market.

[Yes] I cheated, i got other case for my phone, from other brand, and i regret it honestly. I spent same amount as otterbox but quality was nowhere near as otterbox . Lesson learned, never again, will get only otterbox cases no matter what device i will get. Hands down this is the best company.

[Belt Clip] The Defender series case is the best phone case any one could own! This case protects your phone!!! I hope Otterbox never stops selling this case, because it is the only one I will use!!! Great case!!!

[0.225 lb] Hands down the best case I have ever owned. I knew I could trust otterbox to keep my phone protected as I have had many other otter pop and defender cases over the years. But there has always been a small detail I wasn't crazy about. But not with this case!! Love it! Thank you otterbox!
