They're hard-wired to the iOS device that plays the movies, and they're perfect behind a Spandex screen, with an excellent stereo spatial feel. When not outdoors, I use them via Bluetooth and an iOS device as auxiliary speakers in a different room from where our audio gear is located. Room-filling sound with great detail. They come in walnut, cherry and satin black. All are beautiful, well constructed, and offer multiple kinds of inputs, all simultaneously active. Bluetooth pairing is seamless and long-range.
