[22 TB] Replaced a home camera security system that’s been running continuously since 2014. The hard drive in that system was a western digital purple drive. Unquestionable reliability is the reason another WD Purple drive was purchased for the new system. 5 |

[16] I purchased this NVR for a simple two camera security system on my home. I bought a separate hard drive, which gave me twice the recording capacity for the same price as one that came pre-installed. Installation was easy, thanks to videos on YouTube. It came with the necessary connectors to install the hard drive. I installed the NVR , along with my cable modern and wifi router, in a pantry and it works fine. It is plugged into a good quality surge protector. It make a bit more noise that I expected, but it is not bothersome. Hopefully it will provide years of service. 5 |

[30 G] My Flir DVR Security Camera system had a hard drive failure after several years. I got this as a replacement. Opened DVR Case, unplugged 2 cables on hard drive, removed 4 screws holding the drive, swapped out the old drive for the new and reversed order to put it back together. Formatted drive with DVR and my system is back up and running perfectly now! 5 |

[720 Mb/s] Installed this in an older Core i7 tower to record security cameras with TrueNAS. After running exclusively SSDs for so long, this is a noisy drive, but it's working very well. Several high-bitrate cameras are recording to it simultaneously without write issues. It struggles to read the recorded data while it continues to record the camera feeds, but that's expected given the number of cameras I'm sending to a single drive right now. 5 |
