[Yes] This is the 2nd OWC SSD I've installed to rejuvenate an ancient and doddering Mac, this one on a 2010 Macbook Pro. (The first was on a 2006 Macbook.) In both cases, installation was straightforward, and both times, the speed bump in operation was remarkable. For example, boot times went from close to a minute to under 30 seconds, and programs felt peppier and more responsive with the OWC SSD in place. I've been using OWC products for years, and they're always top notchthis SSD is no exceptionand if your computer has some years on it, here's a veritable fountain of youth.

[0.19 lb] This OWC ENVOY worked great with the hard drive from my MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012) and was out of stock at the manufacture's web site. Thanks to B&H, I did not need to wait long to finish my project.

[3.25 lb] As a MacBook Pro owner and photographer, I have plenty of need to plug in drives, monitor, usb printer and CfExpress card, etc. Thunderbolt takes care of all of these and keeps me organized without all the plugging and unplugging from my limited plugs on the Mac. After about a week, my OWC Disk ejector stopped working. OWC tech support was excellent and helped resolve the problem (Google syncing app) - all solved by their support. I don't know how I functioned without this dock before.

[Aluminum] Been using this drive for almost a year now. Initially was difficult to setup as Raid 1, but after a 30 minute phone call, OWC tech support helped me switch it to Raid 1. It's kind of a manual process and if I was to buy another I'd likely need to be walked through it again. Nice that it has usb C to USB A, allows me to use this on my 2014 iMac. Works great with my 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro. Export speeds from a Lightroom catalogue saved on the OWC drive with about 4,000 raw photos in the catalogue is fast. I don't do any direct editing off the drive as I use smart preview catalogues on my M1 Pro MacBook so I can't speak to that. But it writes the exported jpegs very quickly to both of its drives when exporting Jpegs from Lightroom's. I didn't want to over pay on drives and I felt like this was a good value and sounds compromise. Would buy again if this one is still in working order in a few years.

[100 Scans] For my MacBook this scanner works great, connected through two ports on an OWC hub. The MacBook has no CD drive, and soon will be able to run only 64-bit apps, but I needed nothing from the CD to get running, using instead the 64-bit VueScan app. The scanner is lightweight and compact, but seems quite sturdy. It has done a nice job with multi-page duplex color documents. The paper guides work well, although at first I found it hard to adjust them, all the parts being black.

[0.505 lb] In my previous review of this OWC enclosure, I confirmed that it doesn't work with MacBook Pro Mid 2015. [4.395 lb] I love OWC - Apple-level build quality, design and functionality at a fraction of the price. This unit keeps my MacBook Pro fully charged during intensive video editing and graphic compositing/rendering. Love the SD slots in the front, the headphone jack seems to work better for me than the internal MacBook headphone port, just an all around great purchase, thank you!
