Pci Ssd Adapter

[4 TB] The first step was installing it in a Sabrent model EC-PCIE NVMe M.2 SSD TO PCIe X16/X8/X4 CARD WITH ALUMINUM HEAT SINK (which I DO NOT recommend). That was so this Oyen M.2 SSD could be used in a PCI-e slot. (Basically the problem with the Sabrent adapter was that none of the thermal pads were the right thickness, and there was no guidance on their usage in the instructions. I took my best guess and moved on.) The next step was plugging it into a PCI-e slot on my HP Z640 Workstation's motherboard. I then updated my PC to the latest BIOS. When I booted into Windows 10, I didn't see a new drive. That's because I needed to use the WIndows Disk Management tool to create a partition and then a volume. After that, the drive was visible and usable.

[1x 7-Pin SATA] Just installed my first SSD, 250GB Crucial BX100, using this adapter, part no. BRACKET25X2, which included 2 SATA cables and a SATA "Y" power cable for two drives as well as the 3.5 inch to 2.5 inch adapter. The part is not only well designed, fitting the SSD perfectly, but included all the hardware to mount two 2.5 inch SATA drives in the 3.5 inch "floppy drive" slot on my old Dell Optiplex 755. Only issue was the four fiber washers that would not fit: being concerned that they were necessary, I called Tech Support and wonder of wonders at 3:30PM EDT an agent picked up the call after about a 1 minute wait! All I can say is that I will not hesitate to buy more StarTech products if this one is typical of the rest of their product line.

[15 mm] this tray is the ultimate adapter to run a SSD drive in a 3.5 bay. Not only have I never experienced any issues, because of the design, it also cools the SSD. I am thinking about replacing all my Spinners (regular HDD's) with SSD drives using this adapter. The slim height also makes it easy to run air between the adapters

[0.16 lb] Fits perfect and own three plus the ssd to usb adapter andy cine has for these. Works just like any other external drive and slides into atomos ninja v perfectly.

[0.59 lb] In replacing my dead 1TB mechanical drive with a new Samsung 2TB Solid State Drive, I realized that the two were physically different. A simple stamped sheet metal adapter was in order. My brother who had vastly more experience in PC maintenance told me different. The new SSD was a real heat producer and the Sonnet Transposer Adapter was machined from a solid block of aluminum and also acted as a heatsink for the drive. The adapter & drive came very quickly from B&H . The install took about 2 minuets, everything aligned, the provided screws fit perfectly, combining the adapter and new drive. The assembly slid into place, replacing the old drive. The power supply & SATA wires now plugged into the adapters edge connectors without issues. The PC is back to work. I would recommend this for anyone upgrading to an SSD without hesitation.

[Connector] The reason for the headline is this: Unless you have an SSD adapter for your Ursa mini (which i do) then this plate is pretty useless as the d-taps block the SDI ports. I bought the CCTECH SSD adapter and it works out perfectly for me.

[Full Height] This adapter is heavy duty and extremely well made. The 2.5 SSD fit perfectly and slid right into my Mac Pro drive bay.
