[Front] The Pentax HD Da 20-40mm F/2.8 ED Limited DC WR Lens like shooting a limited prime. Very pleased with the results and is an excellent light lens for travel on the Pentax Kp or the Pentax 3 - Mark III. Love the build quality, weather proofing and the photos it produces. 5 |

[18.0 mm] The Pentax XW 40mm is at the very top of the low power wide angle eyepiece hierarchy. There are only a few competitors from TeleVue and Explore Scientific that have the same level of performance. Those eyepieces are much heavier than the XW 40mm. The XW 40mm will give you sharp pinpoint star images all the way to the field stop. There is no field curvature or astigmatism. This is top notch performance in more compact form factor than the competition. 5 |

[Black / Purple] This lens case is perfect for my smaller Pentax lenses, particularly the 40mm Limited and the 70mm limited. It gives me a greater sense of confidence than the cheaper neoprene pouches that the lens is well protected. The cost is a bit higher than the others, but well worth it! 5 |

[0.27x] I bought the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM in November of 2023 as a 35-40mm equivalent prime for Canon's APS-C crop and it's actually surprisingly pretty good! The size of this lens is so small, you could fit it in your pocket. Once it's mounted to your camera, it basically feels like you don't even have a lens on it, its quite nice for keeping your setup extremely light. The 24mm focal length on the EF-S mount is close to the 35mm-40mm on a full frame camera, making this lens quite versatile. I have used this lens while walking around with only a wrist strap, it's extremely comfortable to use considering it's so small. However, it doesn't sacrifice too much image quality even with it's small size. There is stronger vignetting around f/2.8, but stopping down to f/4-5.6 yields a lot brighter corners and more sharpness as well. The f/2.8 is extremely handy though when light is not as available, just keep in mind this is not the sharpest f-stop for this lens as is to be expected. You can get reasonable amounts of bokeh with this lens, although you have to be fairly close which can cause some distortion, so be careful when taking portraits. The lens is also able to focus fairly closely which is a big positive, however the STM focusing motor can be a bit noisy and slow, so keep that in mind for video applications. There is also no Image Stabilization, so I would recommend using this lens with a tripod if you are using it for video. Overall, it's hard to not recommend this lens considering how small and light it is. It would be perfect for landscapes, street photography, car photography, and more because of it's reasonably low minimum aperture and tiny, friendly size. 5 |

[Thread] I recently purchased the Nikon Z 40mm f/2 and 28mm f/2.8 lenses neither of which come with lens hoods from Nikon. The Sensei lens hood is effective in eliminating stray light or sun, and does not interfere with either lens focal lengths. The lens hood screws directly onto the lens or onto the 52mm lens filter. The collapsible feature is cool too. Highly recommended! 5 |

[Aluminum] This filter fits the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8, which affirmatively by actual testing does not cause infrared hotspots, unlike many zoom lenses. 5 |

[0.3 lb] Nikon ES-1, Canon EF 40mm/2.8, Kenko 36mm extension tube. Works like a champ. About 0.9x, which is perfect. Edges of the frame are clean and sharp. Still have to deal with dust, etc, which the better slide scanners do very well, but for a fast copy session, this is a great setup. Faster than setting up a scanner and making sure the scanner software still works. Pick the few you really like and touch up in Lightroom (or your other favorite DAM/editor) and you are good to go. 5 |

[Black] Just look at the new HD Pentax-D FA Macro 100mm f/2.8 ED AW (Silver)! It is a beauty with performance to match its looks. Reduced fringing over its predecessor and in camera focus limit make an already fine macro lens into a great one. 5 |

[1/4"-20 Female] Not sure if the other bad reviews are due to user error, but I’ve had zero issues with this adapter. I use it with a Pentax 645 75mm 2.8 lens with my GFX 50S. The images are excellent. There is no vignetting on the corners with the 75mm lens. I’ll soon be trying it with the Pentax 645 45mm 2.8 lens. It connects to the Pentax lens nice and snug. And it connects to the GFX body totally great. You have to change a setting on the GFX to shoot without a lens because there is no electronic communication between the lens and body. With this specific adapter, the f stop is changed on the adapter and not on the lens, even if your Pentax lens has the aperture ring on the lens itself. There is no clicked adjustment of the f stop on this adapter. It’s smooth as you change the f stop on the adapter. So if the lens isn’t wide open or stopped down completely, you’re pretty much guessing what your f stop is. Not too big a deal to me. The ring to change the f stop is nice and smooth. The build quality is very good. The main advantage is you can add wonderful Pentax 645 lenses to the amazing GFX cameras. Pentax 645 lenses are pretty darn cheap on eBay. 5 |

[Bayonet] I bought my K1 thinking that my Pentax/Ricoh legacy K-mount Legacy lenses would work with the new digital cameras. I was very disappointed. None of the lenses had the field resolution or color fidelity to match the capabilities of my K1. I had been very happy with my Pentax HD Pentax-D FA 24-70mm f/2.8ED SDM WR Lens, but I was still relying on legacy prime lenses for telephoto (up to 135mm). Because purchasing a new HD was a substantial investment I debated going with the f 2.8 of the f 4 telephoto zoom. B&H reviews, as always, helped me make my decision. I primarily take landscape and nature photos, most often with a tripod in conditions of low light. The weight and size of the lens was also a strong consideration as I often hike with my camera. I selected the f 4 over the f 2.8 for these reasons. The lens is amazing for my uses: bright colors and needle sharp resolution across the focus plane. This is the perfect choice for the K1 and the way I use it. 5 |
