Pentax Kr Digital Slr Camera

[Front] This very compact lens allows me to use my SLR almost anywhere as I would do with a small point and shoot. I've used the DA 40mm XS on my old Pentax K10D that has now found a new live as a camera for vacation and any situation when you don't want to transport a big camera-lens kit. Because the Pentax bodys are small, it's easy to put it in your pocket. The 40 mm with the 1.5X factor is perfect for many situations (portrait, landscape...) Only two small cons : it gives a bizarre look to your camera and the lens hood is not thightly attached.

[0.3 lb] I never used an instant film camera before and I have always been digital SLR user. However, I really like the look of the Rolleiflex camera and always wanted one. While I was shopping around for an instant camera, I saw this camera which looks very much like a Rolleiflex so I bought it. I am very happy and having fun shooting with this camera. It is not just point and shoot, you still need to make some adjustment to get what you want, but that is the beauty of photography!

[Handle] Used for my first digital slr/slt alpha a77. Bought it for the unique zipper access and promise of interesting, capabable carry for camera and couple-three lenses, flash, charger, misc... Brilliant !!! Was obvious that i could arrange backpack straps into a sling and sure enough it works. I have a single sling that over left shoulder (i am right handed) allows me to slide pack in front of my torso and with the curvy side zips allows me to access camera lenses or flash from the top pouch. You have to experience it to appreciate it! As they say, great piece of kit! Perfect compliment to the a77.

[0.5x] Very nice lens. Now that digital SLR cameras generally run the roost, I have found my self spending far less time behind a view camera (although that does not always entirely bother me). The 90mm TSE has been a great addition. Being able to control perspective, depth of field and position the camera out of reflections etc has greatly increased productivity by reducing tedious post production tasks. It also makes an awsome lens for portraits and file stitching. A lens baby on steroids plus Redbull. Go ahead knock yourself out get 2!!!! Problems Encountered: Not to be precious but the paint around the T&S bridge tends to chip easily, it comes with little soft bag may be worth using it in you case/bag etc.The locking knobs can be a little unpredictable keep an eye on them, the shift one on my lens can play and the lens can creep. [Stereo ] For all of us who cannot spend the money on the Lecia, Pentax gives us a wonderful Monochrome digital camera. Based on the K3 chassis it is a Monochrome only Pentax K-3 Mark iii. It is an APS-C professional-level camera. With excellent ergonomics that Pentax is known for. Yes everyone is dashing off on mirrorless but the bright, eyeglass-friendly viewfinder is wonderful. With a nice catalog of lenses, this is a black-and-white camera that can be used in any situation. Finally black and white with excellent fine resolution, usable high ISO, and professional grade. The images have fine detail, highlights, and shadows. Easy-to-use menus and settings that address every situation you may encounter. For those who remember all those color filters for black and white are usable to manipulate the the images before tripping the shutter button. Two things to consider. LCD panel does not flip up or rotate. I use a Ref a right angle viewfinder by Pentax. It works well on all the 35mm Pentax cameras and some other brands. It rotates and has a 2x setting which is nice for macro. The other thing I have noticed is the very sensitive shutter button. It has a very sensitive and short motion to trip the shutter. I can highly recommend this camera to anyone who wants to do Monochrome. You will not be disappointed Monochrome is far from a niche place in photography. You see it in many venues. It is not limited now to the conversion of color digital or shooting film. We now have a well thought out Monochrome from Pentax at a more palatable price than Lecia.

[Aluminum] Purchased this item for my new Pentax K200D digital camera. I have two older Pentax cameras in which the filter size is different on them. I do have this particular filter for the older cameras. This is why I purchased it for the new one. I have purchased from B&H before and have always been satisfied...

[1,037,000 Dot] I have been using Pentax digital cameras for 5 years now. I have own and use a Pentax *ist DL, K-x, two K-200D's and now a K-7. I have enjoyed every Pentax camera I have, but the K-7 is truly an artist's camera. Removed of superfluous gimmicks, the K-7 is incredibly versatile and with configurable options and architecture for getting exactly the shot you want. The pictures, especially compared to Canon and Nikon are much sharper, are accepted and edited will in Aperture in RAW format and produce excellent prints and other digital media. The video is excellent and in many ways surpasses other DSLR video I have seen. As with many, it is less than idea in very low light, but does competitively well. The battery grip by Pentax is overpriced in my opinion but still a good option and makes the camera much more ergonomic for the grip. Consider a third party battery grip of good quality. Haven't found anything that is remotely a functional or performance deal breaker with this camera. Great quality build and body, great functionality and superior images. instantly my favorite camera to use.
